Just Coming Back (:
How long have you been away? Depending on that a lot of stuff has changed. Oh and welcome back
Naa f2p hasn’t hurt the core game really… the xpac on the other hand

Snow, you better be sharing that popcorn!

I’ve been gone for a good 6 months at least.
The main game is mostly the same. Dungeon rewards got kicked in the coin purse, though.
The expansion stuff, however, is like an entirely different game. While some people like both, a lot of people are finding that if they like one, they hate the other. The conflict this creates IS harming the game and player attitudes somewhat, though how much is up for debate.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.

Ah yeah, no "much" has changed. Game went F2P and HoT got launched. With the last though several stuff changed and some HoT features has been creating discussions and complaints over the place, as Palador mentioned (costs for Guild Halls, supposing "grind" for Masteries and other stuff, bugs with the new content, specializations etc...) Generally speaking, it’s not much different from 6 months ago though.

Its extra salty
Honestly, just do your research before buying and you’ll be fine. If you are into pvp and wvw, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye on the developments because its a scary place there (but great for salting my forum popcorn). The game is still nice to look at, the xpac just makes the game a bit more exciting to play in pve if you are into that kind of thing (don’t get your pve cooties on me though).
But the repackaging…the repackaging…

Yum, just the way I like it!
Though, if we visit the pvp forum, we could probably get some cheeze for it too. Wvw might work too ponders

I think the basic message here (ie – just do your homework before you buy) is sound advice for any and all. Again, I’d say this is just common sense, but …I’m coming to realize most people seem to actually lack that.
If you some cheese Lanfear, I believe my character selection panel is a nice spread to choose from

this forum needs a thumbs up emoticon
Yadda yadda Grind Wars 2, etc.
I’ve found that the HoT content irritates me to no end, but I’m enjoying Fractals being more accessible and actually, finally, going for a Legendary.
(The precursor collection had nothing to do with it. In fact, I bought the precursor to spite the collection. :P)

Welcome back, we missed you. F2P hasn’t really had any noticeable negative impact outside of keyfarming being destroyed.
