Just hit 80, now what?
WvWvW, sPVP, Dungeons, make an Alt, Play the TP, Explore the World, World Events…
If you’d announced this in game I would have said come here and rant about something. Now I’m sort of at a loss. World boss train maybe? Dungeons? A legendary? I’m not going to say you should focus on anything really. Dabble and see what happens.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
When you hit 80, you unlocked every possibility in the game, so do whatever you want to.
Do Dungeons/Fractals/WorldBosses/SilverWastes/Dry Top for cash, get golden title
Use this cash to get better gear, unlock lining story season 2, level crafting to 400 and afterwards to 500, create some alts.
Buy skins and dyes on the BLTP, get emperor… create your unique characters.
Do world exploration, for the gift and the star.
Try some Edge of the Mists for Karma, to get obsidian shards
Go PvP or WvW for fun and to unlock the neccesary level for legendary crafting
Create a Bank guild
Get dungeon master and Dungeoneer
Go title Hunting
Go easter egg hunting.
Whatever you seem nice.
Been There, Done That & Will do it again…except maybe world completion.
I think the best answer is find what you like to do, and do it. Most games give you a bread crumb trail and everyone basically knows which dungeons to do to gear up to do which raids. That sort of thing really doesn’t exist here.
I’m a skin collector, an achievement point hunter, and I follow the story/lore. I also like creating alts. Oh, I also love the jumping puzzles.
Different people are into different stuff. Some people just play the trading post and do little else. Some people are really into WvW and that’s their main thing. Some people get into dungeon speed running or soloing dungeons.
There really isn’t a right or wrong thing. The real question is what is your thing?
Somehow this hasn’t been suggested, but i’d buy Season 2 of the LS and play through that. It is by far the most interesting and interactive content in the game. Plus it will lead you to the two new zones that were added and provide the most rewarding “endgame” content.
Unfortunately Season 1 is not for sale but you can read about it on the GW2 wiki.
A lot of following and stacking…
Follow my leader (karma trains) in WvW and dress-up.
You could run WvW on your own, but then you will be ganked by small groups of thieves; or in a small group, but then you will be mown down by the opposition’s karma trains.
You could run dungeons, except most groups will expect you to skip, perma-stack and melee, which I guess you might enjoy if you are that way inclined, but it is an acquired taste I will never acquire.
You could make your own groups, with your own requirements and let me know how that goes…
My guess is that a bunch of people join and then rant at you and kick you for not skipping, stacking and meleeing, but I could be wrong. xD
You could try soloing some, but as you don’t outlevel them, it’s not easy.
World bosses are fun for about 5 mins, then it becomes boring, as it’s just following a train (again…).
World completion is OK, if you’re a completionist (I’m not).
Crafting, if you enjoy that (I don’t).
People farm in Silverwastes and stuff, apparently.
On the whole, I would recommend working IRL, buying gems to buy pretty stuff from the gemstore and then standing around in Divinity’s Reach playing the harp.
Or just accepting that the best part of the game is the levelling and exploring part and go elsewhere for (most) other things.
Of course, this is just my opinion – you may love some, or all, of it.

I agree with Vayne. It’s easy to list of a lot of different things you can do, but without knowing what you like it will be difficult to suggest what you should do next.
Me personaly, my activity changes depending on my mood. Sometimes I do WvW, sometimes PvP, sometimes events in Silverwaste. I’ve done the personal story once, and all LS episodes, and once is enough for me. Now I only do that stuff if I’m helping a friend. So it really depends on what you enjoy.
Maybe you can tell us what you enjoyed the most while you was leveling? This may help us to give you some more focused ideas on what you could do next.
Living World Season 2.
Start working on Mawdrey. You get the key items from the above.
^ This will force you to level crafting, do some fractals, do some mini dungeons.
Jumping Puzzlw achievements.
Personally I’m focusing on world completion and leveling up my crafting skills. Once I get 100% map completion on my 80s, I’ll either level up my alts, or just put the game down for a while…
Azman – Asura Necromancer, Kemena – Human Guardian
Emracool – Sylvari Elementalist, Lyra Lightbender – Sylvari Mesmer
Game over. Hehe.
The thing with GW2 is that most of the content you can do while not being 80. So when you hit 80, nothing much really “opens up” for you to do, except finally get the highest tier of weapons and armor.
You can try map completion if you haven’t, make some alts, invest in TP stuff, or wait for Heart of Thorns.
you can try looking for end game content. i think we all are still looking for it after over 2 years.
make acsended gear weapon/armor/accessory/infusions/sigils runes
complete story
discover 100% of the worlds including hidden areas and do all jumping puzzles
do all dungeon storys and their explorable paths
make a legendary
JOIN A GUILD! and do guild missions and get rewards!
do fractals!
MAKE ANOTHER CHAR AND DO IT ALL OVER!

WORLD VS WORLD VS WORLD!! (so wow, much amazed, kitten you sfr)

make your own goal!
Yak Slapper. start working on it.
Archeage = Farmville with PK
Im gonna be that guy. Yeah.
Witcher 3.
Did you have fun with anything while getting to 80? Do more of that.
Did you mindlessly grind out the levels as fast as possible, hoping to reach that magical “End Game”? Go play a different game. Gw2 isn’t for you. I suggest Wildstar. They can use the money.
provide a service that I’m willing to purchase.” – Fortuna.7259
Im gonna be that guy. Yeah.
Witcher 3.
is it better than skyrim
Personally if you have got to level 80 and are already bored, its prob best you do what most of us have done and find another game, if you go looking for things to do it will bore you more and or you will find it becoming a grind, if you stay and let it become a grind you will quit completely and never look at the game again.
Thanks for playing!
Personally if you have got to level 80 and are already bored, its prob best you do what most of us have done and throw away most of the stuff you have learned and got bored of from other MMO’s. GW2 is not about leveling or Grinding. Leveling to level 80 is a tutorial for your characters so I am going to give you some hints.
- Do NOT rush your levels if you enjoy PvE.
- Explore the world and get 100% compleate if you find that fun.
- Do not buy your traits, look up where to find them and go get them.
- Collect skillpoints on maps, atleast about ~65 as it will prepare you for the new HeroPoint system.
- Find 4 friends to do sPvP (Unranked or Ranked, Practice is worthless).
- Find a WvW guild and do WvW and not Edge of the Mists as it is nowdays only for farmers
- Do atleast all dungeon paths one and get Dungeon Master title and if you don’t rush the dungeons some paths are rather nice to do more than once.
- If leveling was fun, I suggest you level one or more alts. (I would probably wait for Specializations update before doing that though).
- Doing LS Season 2 is realy neat, ok rewards and a good story.
- While doing LS you can do some events in Dry Top and Silverwastes, they are pretty cool, atleast Silverwastes(SW) in my opinion. Don’t farm SW though, just all events and kill the last boss and then wait a day atleast. Farming will bore you if you are not in to that thing :P
- There are Worldbosses too that you can do now and then, check here http://dulfy.net/2014/04/23/event-timer/ to know when they are active.
- Ah, and do Fractals for a little more difficulty the higher you get the harder it gets.
Well that is most stuff I can think of atm, if you tried it all and done it all… Well then I guess it is time for a break. Why play a game if you don’t like it?

Topics like these are always so toxic. I can never till if the OP is just a troll fishing for rage or an actual character looking for something to do.
Should’ve just asked in-game, would of had responses and people willing to actually take you around and do content with.
