… which was “account bound”…so how do I send said gear to a different toon than the one who opened the box?

Easiest way would be to place the items in your bank and then retrieve the item(s) with the character you want to use them on. You bank is a shared space for all characters on your account

Be advised though that once equipped, the account bound gear will most likely become soulbound to that character.

Go to Lion’s Arch. It’s easier to find stuff there. You can get there through the big purple asura gate in the sylvari city (or in any of the main racial cities). Another way to get there is to hit the pvp icon on the upper right area of your screen (it’s next to the question mark). Open that and hit “Go to the heart of the mists” once you port there you will see the large purple gate in front of you. Go through and you are in Lion’s Arch. Don’t worry, you will not actually have to pvp in the heart of the mists. It’s just a little trick one can use to get to Lion’s Arch if you don’t feel like paying way point costs or going to a main city. Lion’s Arch is useful because it has a bunch of gates that allow you to travel to the different starter zones for each race.

LA is all one level so it’s much easier to get around than the Grove. The bank is in the Trader’s Forum area.

You can also access the bank from a crafting station anywhere in the world, inside cities or outside.

I prefer Grove bank. Less lag and loads fastah and everythings right next to eachother. You have to learn the WPs though. It’s in the center of town on map (should be like 2 or 3 WPs in center) its the one off to the left~ mid section of town. Once you understand how to reach the little town square in grove it’s the most convenient place in game. If only it had a Mystic Forge.

The WP is right next to Bank, Trading Post and Crafting areas. It’s beautiful.

Once you understand how to reach the little town square in grove it’s the most convenient place in game. If only it had a Mystic Forge.

The WP is right next to Bank, Trading Post and Crafting areas. It’s beautiful.

Can always enter the mists then leave for access to Mystic Forge.

You can also type /wiki and the name of what you want to know, in-game, for example:

/wiki ascended weapons

The armor you get from the heroic edition is a set of skins; you can apply them to an armor set. if you want to move THOSE skins onto a new armor set after the first time, you can get transmutation stones for items under level 80 and crystals for level 80 stuff.

Do NOT vendor that armor.

SShhhhh this is one of the best kept secrets in the game :P

Everything you need, bank, guild bank, trade post, merchant even crafting tables are within rock throwing range of Reckoner’s Waypoint

The Grove is much more peaceful than Lion’s Arch and, being much smaller, it loads WAY faster. IMO it’s also one of the prettiest areas in the game. The only downside is that travel there isn’t free. I have 0 Sylvari toons but I’m there all the time hehe
