One big reason why so many people complain is because they want the game to become better, they want to keep playing and have fun and most of all they want anet to listen.

Sometimes hate is just another expression of love (even if hate is bad). If there was no love, the hate might not be as strong.

Blackwolfe has it right. I was that way with WoW. I absolutely loved the game and was really passionate about it’s flaws on the forums. I see the same thing here.

Cheers.

Complaints get you nowhere. Hate makes people ignore you. Sometimes all you really need to do is just ask and not expect it to be instant and all things cant be granted or the game would be a total mess. I wish every time i killed some one a legendary would drop what would that turn the game in to. Just be happy your playing a game and leave it at that.

Im not saying hate is a good thing. Im not saying pointless complaining is a good thing. Constructive criticism however can be very good. From what Ive seen on the forums there are only a few dissilusioned people expecting instant gratification. Alot of us actually have proper concerns.

I completely agree with this statement. I believe many forum readers misinterpret posts as hateful, or whining. The passion behind those posts usually exemplify a posters love for this game.

Without discontent, where will progress lead us? If a gamer prefers an experience completely void of any interaction between consumer suggestion, and developer implementation; the answer is a console game.

There are players that truly hate this game, and those players left without a word. The fastest way to close your business is by not listening to your customers; both content, and discontent.

I’ve never played a “mmo” (rpg or otherwise) before so I bought this game with no preconceived notions of what a ‘mmo’ should look or play like. To me ‘mmo’ simply means: ‘massive’ (large) ‘multiplayer’ (more than 1) game that is played online.

I’m having a blast! While there are a few bugs/quirks (what game does NOT have any?) they are not ‘game ending’ in nature and I’m happy to I see that the developers are actively making patches and improvements.

Well done Anet!

Isn’t “constructive” criticism in the eye of the beholder aka Anet? They decide what is the right criticism and what is wrong and who to actually listen to.

This game suffers from WoW players and f2p players. Either a game is a WoW clone or pay2win.

I’m happy they are doing something about the areas that have no players in them, I would especially like some new content in these areas especially dredgehaunt cliffs and timberline falls since those are pretty awesome places to look at. I really like the designers/artists in this game, I think it’s probably the #1 reason I’m still playing this game (I have other reasons).

More timberline falls maps please!

I am all for constructive criticism. Everything can benefit from constructive criticism. The problem with many of the threads that are started on this forum (aside from the “hatred” undertones), is that they are opinion and yet peddled as fact. Some are purely anecdotal and/or blatant misinformation, peddled as fact.

This place would be better, cleaner and far happier (even with criticism) if people learned how to differentiate between opinion and fact, and how to write a post that isn’t inflammatory or down-right idiotic.

Even the most ardent fan welcomes constructive criticism. The vitriolic hatred/lies/conspiracy junk however is another story. Hint: that is not coming from the GW2 playerbase.

As Blizzard’s servers get quieter and quieter, as their dungeon and LFR queues get longer and longer, we will see more of this garbage. Know it for what it is.

I love seeing ideas and suggestions that could bring nice changes and content additions. I dislike the hate posts as they don’t add anything whatsoever. That is all

@Thecomstarbaby. Is that a battletech reference?
