I am not a chef. I do not like the looks of a SINGLE lvl 80 exotic karma set. My life is not long enough to grind myself a legendary (only to have it… TRANSMUTED! for proper dps stats). But hey, good (?) news – I can get more karma now by doing dungeons.

Am I missing something?

Go to lion arch, talk to the Karma Weapon Shops. There is a hidden Karma Weapon Shop guy that sells Pirate Style weapons… =) Not my type, but it’s real nice. ALso one more, but i forgot the naem of it… Vigil?? Or something? Those are Karmas… WEapon with unique skins =b

Well, there is rare WvW armor…

But joking aside: No you are not missing anything. If you don’t need/want any of the Orr armor sets and you don’t want a legendary there is basically no use for Karma after reaching level 80 anymore.

I really hope there will be more ways to spend Karma in future updates. At the moment it’s just gathering dust in my inventory…

not a chef? give it a shot. don’t like the 80 exotics? meh, too bad.

seriously, think about it this way- Karma is just a BONUS. when you finish a dungeon it’s expected that you only get Exp,Loot and tokens- like in every other game.
but here they give you karma as well, so people who ARE interested in cooking, karma 80 gear and the exotic skins will be able to achieve them more easily.

You don’t like getting karma from dungeons? just don’t look at it and im sure you will be just fine.

Trade it in for weapon skins, there’s quite a few nice ones around.

didn’t try but maybe you can put karma items in the mystic forge.
otherwise you can use the Mystic Clover recipe (karma-skill point-mystic coin-ecto) to get tier6 materials.

Ha! I guess you could say the same sort of thing about any of the currencies.

What good is glory? I already have top pvp gear.
What good are dungeon tokens, if I don’t want any of that stuff?
What good are $$ if I dun wanna buy nuthin?

Myself, I’m hoping someday they let us buy cultural armor with karma.

Perhaps they could add a karma vendor for the cultural armor sets. I reckon karma, which you get from doing events represents a better sense of in game achievement than gold, which in that quantity needs to be obtained by farming, playing the market or RMT – more commercial than cultural one might think.

Actually, since I discovered the Orr armor sets, I definately have a use for Karma now. I already bought 2 pieces of Dwayna armor so that I can create a set that is more specialized in defense and healing then the Precision/Conditiondamage set that I currently have. And since you earn a whopping 4500 karma for your daily now, you can actually buy a piece every 10 days(actually sooner since you earn 1000 karma for the 5 DE’s also)!

I was doing my daily already anyway, takes me like 15 minutes in one of the starterzones, I think they are fun to do, mixing up the zones that I do them in, chasing the different animals, do a couple of de’s in a beautiful world.

And now, in only a few months, they will earn me a couple of Orr sets too! That is the sort of grinding I like.

Just keep hoarding karma, then later on when they add something you actually want, you can probably afford it straight away.

No need to be so impatient to blow all your money.

Very useless, bring back the salvage/tools for karma vendors.
