Hi all,

I thought with the coming of HoT karma would become useful for more reasons. I haven’t been able to find something on which I can spend my karma.

Does anyone has some ideas?

Idk. I remember they said there would be new karma vendors. Are there any? If there are, I haven’t encountered them yet.

Trade it for light armor pieces, then mystic forge, then salve the result for either linens or silk.

There’s a couple of ways to change karma into gold.

First but inefficient way: Buy Lost Orian Jewelry Boxes from the Orrian temples in Orr. They give junk items to sell to vendors, and sometimes good items to sell to other players.

Second but long way: by cloth crab grabbing gloves, and put them into the mystic forge to get gloves you can salvage. Salvage them for cotton and linen, then sell on the TP.

Third faster but not as efficient way: buy rare quality weapons from cultural vendors, put them into the mystic forge to get rares/exotics you can trade or salvage. I’d recommend going for weapons that naturally sell higher than ecto prices (such as staves or greatswords), and hope for a legendary. This method can blow through a lot of karma quickly, but it isn’t as reliable as the linen method.

I don’t have opinions. I only have facts I can’t adequately prove.

I bought all the unique skins I could, forged em all, not cost efficient generally, but you get skins and a chance at makin bank via the forge. It also burns through karma fast lol.

As for the long way, converting karma into mid level mats: not worth the time in my opinion, the time spent doing that could be spent doing more fun things, like running circles around LA.

I did the same.

I bought every cultural karma weapon there was and then mystic forged them all. Each set of 4 will give you one rare or possibly exotic weapon, some of which will be new to your wardrobe. I then sold or salvaged those weapons. It’s one way to fill out your wardrobe with new skins using karma and make a small profit.

pact commander mastry unlocks the ability to use new roaming karma vendors in core tyria that sell rare and unique crafting recipies as well as an item that instantly gives you the next map reward.

The map reward items, once you collect a bunch, are a pretty good but time gated way to spend karma.

Yeah, now that you’ve reminded me I have encountered them once or twice.

But for some reason I thought there would be karma merchants out in the jungle selling, idk, brand new karma weapons or armor skins. Silly me. I should have realized it would only be a recipe or two and maybe some item that gives you a bonus. Not new skins.

I have no more use for gold than for karma, so I just let it accumulate.

I expect to hit 6,000.000 tomorrow.

lol, I’m doing same. I have over 9.5 million. Once in a while I buy a few greatswords to throw into the forge.
