Background: I am aiming to make a legendary and the mats for gift of magic and might are horrendously expensive.

I have been using my laurels to exchange for T6 mats then I read Karmic Converter can be exchange for T6 items, with 2million + Karma I thought getting this item was a good idea and somewhat good investment.

However after spending 800gold+ I find out that this item will only have 3 random items available to choose. This was frustrating experience and to me and is a waste of gold, whilst I understand RNG for loot items but introducing it on KC is getting beyond a joke.

This was very bad play Anet!!

I don’t have the Karmic Converter yet, but from what I’ve heard, this is how it works:

1. Every day it offers 3 random things you can convert your karma too. Possible options included Ascended mats (Dragonite/Empyreal etc.), Cores and Lodestones, and T6 mats.

2. You can pick only ONE of the 3 random things each day.

So every day, if you have excess karma, just open the Converter and see if there’s anything good on offer that day. If not, save your karma and wait another day.

It says in wiki that you will get a random assortment of 3 items out of a list of items and you choose one of the 3.

i guess OP didn’t read properly.

Why would you spend 800g on something else, when what you need are T6 mats?

You only found out about it from researching it out of game. You can’t blame Anet for the fact that you didn’t do enough research.

did you even think once about it before doing it? ^^

you could have known from wiki that it gives the choice for 3 random items per day
and you could have easily calculated that for 800g you would have ALL your t6 mats already…

anyway you will have to wait for the days when the best items are offered and then you get t6 for your karma … but it just takes aaaaages

I have 5m of the stuff. I’ve only used some to trade for salvage kits. I’ll wait for something better. It’s not going anywhere. I’ve had most of that purple stuff since release and since that big nerf, I’m not frittering it away so easily.

It almost always have obsidian shard in it. So everyday you can get at least 2500 free karama… and in one month that is at least 75,000 karma. Which is like 4 fractal runs…

That being said, I got 10 obsidian shard today for 5000 karma and I’m happy. I really like the item actually. It’s pretty excited to see what’s inside for the day.
