So I was talking in map chat and to some guildies, and they said that ToT bags may be worth more than they are months from now when they are no longer obtainable and that I should save bags to sell them then.

Others say that since the demand is there now, and that they are a good price to sell at and that I should sell them now.

Or a third option, should I save them until the last day of the event, and then sell them, as many people may be buying them at the last minute before the event ends and drive prices up.

I am no market speculator, so I would just like some additional input.

But you could spend the money now and enjoy the benefit it bring.

I am only really asking because I have been farming the lab for both levels and bags, and just want to know what time would be most profitable to sell them.

I don’t play TPWars2 as I don’t think that is what the game should be based around, but that is another thread entirely.

I will be saving some of mine in the hopes that they do go up. The Candy Corn Gobbler will probably drive the price of CC up, which should in turn drive bag prices up. If it doesnt then ill just open them in a few months and have lots of halloween stuff in February or something

I have been opening my ToT bags as I get them, about 300 or 400. I’ve been converting candy corn to cobs and buying the 20 slot bags. I’ve gotten 2 of those and almost have enough for a third. I want a lot more to increase the inventory space for my 10 characters.

I got a zuzu that’s worth about 16 gold on the TP now. Trying to decide whether to sell it now or wait if it would be worth more.

Yea I grinded enough to get all the Halloween minis and the costume, and I really don’t need recipes and I am poor (less than 30g lol) so like I said, I am just trying to get some extra input on when to sell them. So far I am thinking to wait until Monday. Too bad I sold 300 the other night.

A little MMO economic advice here for event items:

a. Sell while its hot – if you’re saving for something
or
b. Try to enjoy the event more and open them yourself

Do not save holiday consumables and do not look back. More often than not, the demand of holiday items drops almost as much as the supplies do when the event ends. Panicked investors keep the price down for a long while.

When the price finally does raise, assuming you saved banks full of the stuff, you’ll probably have made only up to 50g more. Is 50g (after inflation) really worth several full bank slots?

There’s a reason TP flippers tend to make more money than plain investors. Their buying and selling is day-by-day. Investors have to look toward a theoretical future and when that future finally comes, was it really worth all that time?

Yes, you’ll probably make a little more if you wait, but it won’t be worth the wait. Keep farming and keep selling if you want money.

best time to sell is sepember 1st, 2015. The question is do you really want to wait 1 year when you can make good use of the money now or you can invest something else which might profit even more.

I should have sold them last night, they were worth 6s10c and I waited, now they are 3s91c

Is it because everyone is selling them now, or did the demand really go down that far? Am I better off waiting for the supply to dwindle and the demand to raise the price again, or is there really no demand anymore?

Once the new patch new shiny is out, nobody will care about the old patch new shiny.

I also suspect that the skritt lottery tickets were propping up the prices of bags.

There is a lot of inventory to clear before the consumables are worth more than they are now, there’s more than a year’s worth of inventory.

New bags will be farmed ll year with maize balm, and demand for bags will not spike up until next September.

Everyone that thinks “Since they are no longer available, I should sell them now” are selling them and driving the price down.

So I should save them, since I missed the high point and everyone else is selling them now. I can wait and keep them in my bank until they become a decent price again.

yep, hold off. in a few months or so they will be worth more than they were during the event – the two main items people want from them (the pets) are still there…shiny foil wrappers were just a little bonus.

Keep them, it’s the smart thing to do.

I’ll keep them, considering several new items introduced this year like the ghost wolf mini and Poly-luminescent Refractors. I believe many people still want them DESPERATELY even after the event.

Don’t forget about maize balm. No doubt lots of players will have some stored for future use, which in turn could help keep the price down or keep the demand for ToT bags lower.
