Personally, I have keys taking up a lot of space in my inventory. I think it would be a good idea to have something such as a key ring to hold them all (in the wallet maybe? Idk, it’s just a thought that my guild and I have been discussing

I agree this would be a nice thing to have.

I have 9 permanent characters and at the moment I need to trade keys between all of them based on who is in which zones (which often means it’s just easier to play on the character who went there last). It would be really nice to have them all available at all times like the currencies are.

This has been asked for many times… They have demonstrated that they have the ability to turn items into currency (Proof of Heroics), so they could easily do the same with all the key-type items.

There’s a web keychain that combines all your characters’ machetes, Silverwaste shovels, and bandit keys into one bank tab. You’ll need to make an API code to use it first.

As for it being added as a game feature, Anet said they aren’t working on it because of being busy with other stuff, although it is requested often.

If they do add this kind of key chain then I hope they add all the Black Lion consumables to it too (like Black Lion Merchants, Back Access Expresses and so on). Whenever I get one of those I put it in my bank and forget about it.

As mentioned by others above, a feature that’s been asked for for a long time, but so far ignored, yet they keep adding more keys. I realise they need to make money with bags/bank tabs etc. but i’m sure like myself, many ppl are maxed out on those. And it’s not a matter of that either, it’s more about the hassle of having to juggle keys between chars. With gw2 running full throttle on clock, timers for everything, wasting time switching chars, trying to remember who has what, is a pain. Fingers crossed they add this soon, it’s really badly needed.

BTW these keys are what I’m using my shared slots for at the moment.

It hasn’t been ignored — they’ve commented on it more than once and said that it’s not something they are working on now. I agree that it’s important, I agree it would be a huge QoL improvement in a variety of ways, and I wish that ANet shared my priorities. However, just because they disagree doesn’t mean they are ignoring the idea.

OMG, it really should be named ‘Heart of keys’ I have a bag stuffed with every type of key imaginable and I haven’t a clue as to what most of them unlock.
What next; Red herrings? It all a bit daft.

We have shared slots now. You can use this. But I agree I would love this. Also for the felt 1000th time: Make godkitten customizable UIs: I want side bars for food, gizmos, instruments etc. Opening the inventory every time sucks and is annoying. Why is this the only MMO you can’t customize additional slots – WHY?

Some kind of a key chain for all the endless/infinite tonics would be a blessing for me.
