They don’t know how good they’ve got it. Look at this, just look at this! (The screenshots.) You know what this is?

This is Wayfarer Foothills. Where we had to walk up hill for miles, in the snow, every day, to level up.

And when you finished? You could move on to Snowden Drifts. Guess what you found there? I’ll tell ya: more snow! By the time we got to Lornar’s Pass we were thanking Bear herself that we got to walk downhill in the snow.

And now new players, they get to go straight to the nice warm jungle! Oh, but there’s pocket raptors? We would have killed for pocket raptors! We had to fight Oak Hearts the size of a house, which would crush you with one hand!

They don’t even have to walk, just glide around picking up airship cargo as they go…

Ok, serious now: If anyone’s unclear this is a joke topic. But I did find it genuinely amusing after all the comments about having to walk uphill in the snow to level up that Wayfarer has been my favourite 1-15 zone since launch, so that’s where I’ve levelled most of my characters and I never realised until now I was doing it by literally making my way uphill in the snow.

I tell ye, these kids today don’t know they’re born. In my day, when we had killstreak boosters we had to use them within 30 seconds, or the whole boon would disappear, even if you only double-clicked it 2 minutes ago! Now they get 60 seconds, and if they don’t use it in that time, they still get the boon!

Aye, these young whippersnappers eh? slaps thigh

So,point of this is?…

Point is to make a funny joke about the ease of leveling now days (lvl80 boosts, long-lasting XP buffs, etc).

I still love running around all the old starter zones.

Live, learn, level up.

@Danikat.8537, joke topic but pretty acurate from what the game is, Gw2 would be to complicate for the new players if they cant do stuff in a button push, that is why gw2 exist.

.

It was so cool to play with rfriends figthing all the path with a 2 lvl to make its 15k armor and trying not to die.

GW2 is know as “the noobs game”, for some reason.
Took even the team cooperation to a skill spam cluster f*** of players.“guys all spam skills on center.”

1st April joke, when gw2 receives a “balance” update.

So,point of this is?…

Satire.

The entire leveling situation with the game has changed drastically since the games launch.

Just as an example, you used to be able to craft to 80 (was deemed too quick, so they reduced the exp), Now you have instant level up tomes, level 20/30 scrolls, Instant 80.

The NPE is another aside from this which changed the entire starter zones to be more friendly and “less complicating” …which means that apparently they had to move the RC golems from Metrica to Auric Basin.

Just some of the things the game has changed on through its days.

I enjoy running around in the starter zones but I don’t enjoy leveling in due the butchery that the NPE did to low level characters. Having to level up to use different attacks or unlock basic profession mechanics is just tedious and awful on every level. So when I make a new character I’ll use boosters and then go play in the starter zones just because I want to have my profession mechanics and skills available.

Oh I’m with you there. It’s a pain having to wait so long for every little thing to be unlocked. They should’ve really sped up the rate at which you open class features, skills, abilities.

Live, learn, level up.
