I am truly satisfied with my story and the characters that I fought along with. I had connections with them! Just as I did in Guild Wars 1 esp in EotN (Eye of the North). The music, artwork, and maps were bold amazing! bold. The music played at the right time during the story missions you were doing, in certain situations the music empowered the experience, also the execution of the gameplay of the missions were really joyful, especially with my friends that ran along with me Nothing comes close to the different and new experiences I had and will continue to have for years to come! Going to work on a Necromancer next and do the other choices I didn’t pick, amazing feature for your personal story experience. Having the option to chose a different path at alot of key points in the game I am working a Necromancer asap to enjoy the content I havn’t done yet!
Thank you so much Arena Net for the awesome and innovating game you have created for us! The credits and music at the end were a good nostalgic of beating all of Guild Wars 1! Being here for Guild Wars 2 is a blessing, thank you for the hardwork you put into and Guild Wars 2 and will continue to in the future

I loved the PS too. I still haven’t done all the possible paths and not sure if i ever will, just too many of them haha.

I know many ppl have expressed their hatred for PS and slammed to no end on these forums which frankly baffles me, as lot of MMO’s don’t even have a story to speak of. My only complaint is that there wasn’t enough of it lol.

My main gripe with it is the long and epic journey that ends with you killing the fearsome foe known as Zaithan with a turret. I would’ve just prefered it to be a real legendary boss encounter, and not what we got in Arah story.
This is the same feel like Mass Effect 3 to those that know what I’m talking about.

Either I’m too much of a pessimist or you missed the sarcasm the OP is drenched in.

You are look at the other post that ppl put out and you can tell what they mean.

Any way it was not just a canon it was the “super” ship that was being made though out all the paths of the person story so if you only ran it once you missed parts of the story line.

Main : Jski Imaginary ELE (Necromancer)

It would’ve been great if they had used the different characters you meet some more.
- They either die or just disappear after a while. I felt that the relationships I had was somewhat insignificant, or it came out that way, at least, to me. And many characters doesn’t seem to be taking things seriously (like Magister Sieran, whom I personally cannot… just… no. “Don’t be such a sourpuss. C’mon! It’ll be fun” and I don’t know how she attained the rank of Magister in the first place)
I would also level up between missions so as to be able to take on more of the chapters in the PS. I felt as though the PS was a seperate game or world to the Open World.
- A thing I liked about the original Guild Wars was how the story missions led me on to explore the world. They were more, I don’t know, linear. In GW2 I might be out exploring one part of the world, then for some reason, I have to break out of the journey my character was on to continue the PS.

- Quest lines in, say, WoW (especially Northrend, I thought to be very well designed, speaking from a PvE Quest point of view) quests would lead you along the path, and it wasn’t so that you couldn’t explore freely, but places you’d just naturally go to restock supplies or such, would provide some tasks for you to do, and they’d usually introduce some minor boss that you’d end up fighting later on.
- That isn’t to say that GW2 should pick up the traditional questing, although I would suggest putting more DE’s into towns and villages that provides some content and context to what everyday life is like there, along with the challenges and enemies people have in those places.

I think what troubled me the most about the PS is, as already said, that it breaks the immersion, if my character is on a journey somewhere else and I have to go continue.
- “But you don’t have to.” I know, I know. But in some cases where the NPC’s will have ended the previous part with “I’ll see you at <a certain location>” they might wait for days (note that the days go by faster in game than IRL). Time stands still there, and my choices only effect the PS, and only a small portion of it.
- They’re not woven together as well as it could’ve been done, I feel.
