I was wondering when ArenaNet is going to fix the Japanese Kana/Kanji characters in GW2 NA version.

I want to type japanese to friends since im studying with them but I can’t do it while playing the game since this glitch still prevents the font.

Korean text still works but not Chinese/Japanese? What gives?

However, I have my doubts about kana/kanji support being added to this game. Although GW2 was recently launched in China, from my experiences with Japanese people, the gamers over there tend to be more attracted to console or handheld systems rather than PC games. ANet does not have enough reason to go through the trouble of programming Japanese into the game at this point. Low demand, essentially.

I also would like to see adequate Chinese/Japanese text added to the game (chat and interface), because I would sometimes play GW1 in Japanese, and it was a fun way to get in some reading practice. Unfortunately, something like that is a Zhaitan-sized load of programming effort that could be spent elsewhere.
