Kraitkin precursor crafting must be changed
The kraitkin precursor is pretty cheap on the TP the last time I checked. It seems it would be cheaper to just buy it.
What I don’t get is all the RNG involved in crafting a precursor when supposedly the whole point of it was to eliminate RNG. That makes no logical sense, and yet it’s the reality of the beast.
People are always screaming that crafting precursors isn’t supposed to cost less than buying one, but they claim in the same spittled breath that it’s to eliminate RNG.
Except that it doesn’t…
The point is you are guaranteed a precursor via collections.
Mystic forge you are not.
Drop tables you are not.
Yes the items for the collection can be RNG, but not the final reward.
Also a key point; these are meant to farm not to buy them that is how it is cheaper.

My thought is you want the achievement point. But hope complaining will make it easier.
Else giving it up might be a better choice. Just buy it from the TP if you really want it.

But if the items in a collection that are necessary for the final reward are based on RNG, how is the final reward not affected by RNG by extension?
If you can’t get an item in a collection due to RNG, then logically, you won’t be getting the precursor ultimately because of RNG.
This distinction isn’t very useful then.

What’s the difference between farming for gold and farming for materials? Technically the whole thing is cheaper because I didn’t pop my wallet open and just drop 50 bucks on gold.
When anet talked about the pre collections they didn’t mention the rng or the fact that you had to farm for anything they sold it as this massive adventure where you were having all this fun working towards a pre, not this grind fest of hoping something would drop to finish a collection for a recipe and then the 40 deldrimor to actually make it. What part of that is supposed to be fun?
Let me restate my point.
Using the mystic forge is a RNG mechanic that has a chance to get the precursor.
Trying to loot the precursor is the same.
Both of these are to add longevity to the game.
Yes some of the things are RNG related, but the actual precursor after getting these things is not.
Did I clear this up or is it still confusing? I am terrible at explaining things

Problem is, this isn’t RNG as in farming something until you get the right drop—which would be fine because you’re actually playing the game, it’s RNG for the boss to appear—and it seems to be ridiculously rare. That forces you to stand around in one spot to find it, and that’s not adding longevity to the game, it’s preventing you to play it.
