Guild Wars 2

Why was the appearance of this shield changed? It used to have a dull gray color on it, however with the new release the shade of the shield has been changed to something more like steel where it is shiny just like the guild defender skin recently released.

They reset your graphics settings maybe? the shield has always looks really shiny to me
