Is starting to look an awful lot like an Arena…

The area with the Vista looks like a staging/starting area, and the center is cleared out.

What if we saw the gladiatorial arena from the GW books come back?! And we could have grand brawls in the center in Lion’s Arch for players to bet on!

They have cleared out nearby housing etc. around the outside and can build raised areas around the perimeter for players to watch the battles, pathways around the main level around the area could be made for passers by.

Or even something similar to what was in the books, it could be anything from 1 on 1 to gvg style combat, but placing bets, and having observers would give it that extra umph

People do want a place to duel that isn’t restricted to servers (duels that aren’t governed by pvp rules- any armor, food, etc allowed) so this would be nice!

I just editted the OP with a screenshot, the area is near perfect for an arena in its current state, symmetrical to the area they added with the new vista/sand area, is a small cropping of just…dirt, that could easily be turned into another starting spot.

You wish finally some pvp content.

While i’m not against this suggestion it seems they may have simply moved the statue for repairs. It may be re installed as it was before or as part of a new structure such as an arena. I do not however see them moving it to a different location.
