LF Pants
Welcome to GW2’s light armor collection where you have a ton of choice yet surprisingly not a kittening pair of pants.
Guess you can use this http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pirate_Captain%27s_Outfit
All my clones for a pair of pants…

Thanks but I was looking for a separate skin. Unfortunately the outfits are now all-or-nothing.
I don’t understand how a costume designer could create all the costumes for a game and somehow forget to make even 1 pair of pants!
You have to realize that it would be unfair if light armor was actually lighter than medium armor. Thus they get the thin pants and we get 5 layers of skirts.

But medium gets only heavy trenchcoats for top part so it kinda balances it.
This drives me crazy, and its bad for all armor classes, although medium and light get the worst of it. It’s a baffling because the stretching and warping of dresses and long coats always looks awful when your characters move, and yet a vast majority of the armor in this game has this problem. For medium armored characters there are great pants options but very few coats that don’t entirely cover them, especially for females. I don’t know why they were so pants adverse, GW1 didn’t have a similar problem, there were plenty of pants for most of the professions (except maybe the Dervish).
I would actually give a lot for an option to turn off parts of armor like the lower dress and skirt portion, although I’m sure that’s technically near impossible. There are a few armors that I love the details of, like the male Whispers Medium armor, but are unwearable because of the dress that is attached to it. Every time I want to wear it I feel so frustrated because the top portion is probably my favorite design of the game, but the long skirt that accompanies it is weird, out of place and looks terrible when you move. Why is anet so afraid of showing our character’s butts?
We definitely need more styles for both medium coats and light legs. I got the whole thematic stance, but it’s really pretty bad.
Light armor isn’t the only weight that’s lacking some real variation. One solution I’ve found that worked for me (at least with cosmetic variation) is to make my characters according to the biconics – since their armorsets just go so kitten well with races and classes.
Norn warrior – Braham’s armor skin
Charr warrior – T3
Human guardian – T3
Norn ranger – T3
Asuran elementalist – T3
Sylvari thief – T3
Human mesmer – Phoenix
I own Trickster’s gear too, but I don’t like the necromancer class enough to buy a character slot.
I suppose you could try to make a case that light armor “skirts” make it similar to the traditional “robes” worn by casters in fantasy stories. But if you start thinking along those lines you have to wonder why GW2 doesn’t have any actual robes either! I understand that armor is two pieces, but they have plenty of coats that are down to the ankle so why not a robe? I have a wizard hat and nothing to wear it with
But back on topic, please make some pants Anet.
My favorite pair of light pants (Ascalonian Catacombs) are way too plain for my tastes, but are the only ones I can find for my light norn lady that don’t bulge weirdly like the “harem pants” or involve the giant bulging butt over-skirt.
Some pants also go over shoes which is a big no-go for me. Any piece that covers up another piece of clothing too much are a pass.

We’re with you OP!
My mesmer (and actually my ele) would love some actual pants! Heck, they’d be happy if they could just take the pants from under the Priory or Conjurer sets. Just strip the skirts off those and add is as a new skin, Anet! It’d be a start!
And some nice heels while we’re at it!

That would definitely be a start to just remove the skirts from some of the existing pants.

AFREAKINGMEN!
It is so hard for a girl to find cute heels around here! The winged boots just don’t go with everything.
Look – inspiration for Sylvari heels! =D
