However, I have some unfortunate news. Your title was the result of my golem, LOR-748 believing you earned the honor and issuing the esteemed accolade. Now, there’s no way my golem made any sort of miscalculation, which means there is only one explanation: the Eternal Alchemy itself is wrong.

To clarify, the illegal modifications I made to LOR-748’s title-issuing program had absolutely nothing to do with this title-issuing mistake.

In an effort to remedy this error – again, not mine – your title and any other unearned Hall of Monuments rewards must be revoked. This is regrettable, but the Alchemy is a living thing that, if not corrected, corrects itself – and no one wants to leave this up to the uncaring universe. This reversal will also keep the Arcane Council from incarcerating me until, as they put it, “your bones turn to dust.”

It’s a bug that pops up from time to time. It’s related to a fix of a previous bug where people who made a char on a particular day got Guild Wars 1 titles and AP points.

You can usually get your titles back (if they are actually missing) by switching chars.

Sadly, I never had the title and I was seriously confused because I dont have GW1, hence, no Hall of Monuments titles or achievements. In 4+ years this is the first time Ive seen this so logging in to it had me scratching my head a bit

And it was definatley worth sharing for those of us who have never seen it lol

Yeah. It was about 2 years ago so it’s not well known now. It closed down the HoM and took months to fix. That email you got which announced the fix to those who accidentally got those titles and AP will now pop up occasionally for both people who have HoM titles and AP and those who don’t, confusing both sides. Fortunately it can be ignored. At most the player has to switch chars to restore any (temporarily) removed titles and AP.
