Guild Wars 2

I looked into buying LW2 in the gem store, where it advertised all 8 LW2 stories in one pack, followed by a note that story 6, “Tangled Paths” was not included. (I suppose that meant I could buy 7 of the 8 stories in one pack).

Is 6 free? Is it purchased separately even though advertised as all 8 parts? How do I get the achievements for part 6? Can I progress to stories 7 and 8 with no 6?

Who has purchased this pack and can explain how it works?

Do you have it unlocked already? The bulk pack scales pricing and only unlocks the chapters you don’t already have unlocked.

Check the Story Journal on your Hero tab.

Good call and thanks. How I got part 6 unlocked without doing or unlocking any of parts 1 – 5 escapes me, and I’d not have guessed that.

The unlock isn’t to do with which episodes you’ve completed, it’s to do with when you logged in. For the first couple of weeks after an episode was released, if you logged in, even if you didn’t play any of the episode, it gets unlocked for free. You must have logged in at some point during episode 6’s two weeks, but not during any of the other episodes.

All you needed to do was login, even for a moment, when it first came out.
