Anet why is it when you make all these new hair to have then not move with your char? I would love to change my char hair but none of them move. I have only changed it once and had to change it right back because it just eats at me not seeing it move. I am sure I am not on the only one here.

Have you seen any bathtubs in this game? Aside from accidentally falling in the water no one bathes, so stiff hair is pretty accurate.

I was pleasantly surprised that the sylvari twintails actually have physics.
Those would have looked really terrible without though…

Never thought of it that way, good point out side eles using water everyone must be rather foul by now.

Yeah the new hair are good for taking still shots and enjoying your character at the select screen, but otherwise they aren’t as good as the old ones. Really that is something missing from many items in the game, for example I didn’t get the black wings back item either because it doesn’t have any movements.

Huh?

Are you talking about #3? The one with the large twintails?

Doesn’t move for me

Yeah, I definitely agree.

I got the female human updo and it doesn’t move, at all. :/

Yeah .. i really wish that more hairstyles would behave like this one. I recently really
fell in love with it after seeing how it behave while harvesting (and i harvest a lot)

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

It probably has something to do with your video options, the hair on the balthazar outfit doesn’t move on my laptop because my options are set to low, but they move fine on my desktop. The animation option.

Hair physics in an MMO that runs on DX9? Seriously?

This place is ALWAYS amusing….

I haven’t applied the new styles yet but at least in preview they definitely have some physics. Hopefully enough to counter the bizarreness of the male human ponytail.

Does anyone with high graphics have a video of the new hairstyles in motion?

The point that is being made, here, is that the older styles move more than the newer ones.

So, what it runs on is irrelevant.

That was it, fixed when I bumped it up to medium!

Thankfully, I’m upgrading soon >_>;

Considering the unappealing and artificial way that hairstyle reacts to your character’s posture (see picture), I can’t blame them for toning that sort of thing down.

That “strangled by your hair” thing drove me so crazy I bought a hair kit to make it stop.

My animation option is on high and my human female updo doesn’t move.

Just in case someone is trying to make a decision on whether, or not, to buy it on that basis.

Still looks good, but it’s pretty much totally rigid…

IMO, even an updo should move slightly – the loose bits, like this one has, especially.

A good illustration of what’s wrong with the new sylvari pigtails and the old sylvari ponytail.

They just don’t flow away from your character.
