Just came here to ask if that’s still the problem? I mean I never really understood ANets reason for slow content releases, they haven’t announced a expansion so there is no reason really?
Maybe they try to look up to WoW who doesn’t release content for a year, but they at least have a reason for that (expansion).
Nevertheless, not going to discuss that here, just came here to ask if that’s still the problem.

Anet’s approach hasn’t changed. They still put out the living story every 2-6 weeks depending on the schedule and breaks. No expansion has been announced.

While I very much would love a proper expansion ala how it was done in GW1… I will defend Anet a bit here.
While Living World is not perfect, each bite seemingly small and it feels slow because you rush through it in an hour and wait 14 days… longer if other events like the holidays come up…. it does amount to something after a while, and unlike Season 1 of the LS, Season 2 is permanent and there for you to play at any time you please.

So it is not exactly a complete lack of content.

well if we compare this 2 year old game to every other MMO that has had 4-10 years to put out content then yes you could say there is still a lack of it.

Hurray another "Anet doesn’t make new content and no the Living Story updates every 2 weeks doesn’t count as new content as does everything else they have added since launch since it wasn’t part of an expansion " and “Anet needs to stop and watch/copy what WoW does” thread

I was always wonders how some ppl are constantly out of content. I play 10 hours every day since headstart and still dont have enough time to do everything I want that day.

That’s because they run out of stuff to do based on what they view as “content” or what they view as “new content”. To them “new content” may only be stuff added from an expansion pack or “new content” is when Anet finally gives in and adds the stuff they want or make GW2 a 100% WoW clone.
