Just did a quick tally of the suggestions so far. It’s a bit rudimentary, for example, if one person wanted glasses, shot-glasses and coasters, it would only count as “1” towards kitchenware. I also stuck some of the other similar items together.

seriously though a variety of new plushies would be fantastic. the warband of charrs is getting a bit restless fighting amongst themselves

Pop! Games style mini figurines of the main characters of the games or for the people with more money a 3D printed version of you own character.

+1 for Tshirts, plushies, and wall art. On the wall art offer more and varied prints in addition to the current ‘Wall Graphics’ as well as multiple print options like higher quality paper and canvas, etc. There are some websites out there that do this if the current partner doesn’t.

My favorite part of Guild Wars (both 1 and 2) has always been the art so let’s see:
(These should all be nice books. Hardback, good paper, good binding.)

Art Books!

• Art Book – New updated art book or reprint the current art book. It’s been sold out for awhile. I’d rather ANet get the cash for this than the 3rd party sellers that are the only way you can get it today.
• HoT Art Book – HoT is coming! Let’s get a new HoT specific art book with the new spec teaser art, rev art, environments, creatures, etc.

Lore Art Books!
Books with lore/history sections surrounded by the various art for the topic at hand covering all the world of Tyria.

• Major Races of Tyria – The 5 major races and dragons, whatever else goes here :P
• Minor Races of Tyira – The Kodan(my favorite), Ogres, Dwarves, Dredge, Krait, Hylek, Skrit, Grawl, etc….even the poor simple Quaggan
• Places of Tyira – Landscape art of the various regions (Shiverpeaks, Kryta, etc), Capital Cities, Ebonhawke, Sanctuaries, Old Ascalon ruins, The Mists, all 3 Order headquarters, etc.
• The Old World – This one isn’t very likely as some of it isn’t in GW2 presently or is only mentioned, but….Elona, Cantha, Blood Legion homelands, Janthir Isles, Ring of Fire, various otherworlds (Foundry of Failed Creations, Realm of Torment, Underworld, etc).

Now throw it all together:

• Art collectors bundle: The 2 art books, in a nice sleeve. Other extras?
• Lore Art collectors bundle: All the lore art books, in a nice sleeve. Other extra?
• Ultimate Art collectors bundle: All the art books and all the lore art books. Nice sleeve or other packaging to hold it. Stills or prints with a nice display stand/case/something. Similar to what came in the GW2 collectors ed.

Honestly, I’d be REALLY surprised if they didn’t do a new Art Book with HoT

I like dragons and T-shirts and GW2 and wanted a flaming dragon GW2 T-shirt since before beta but all that’s available is some lame brown T-shirt. What is with that? You have all these artists and all these fans wanting to spend money and advertise the product, why can’t you monetize some of that art?

I would love to see a series of high quality gw2 action figures. Also a graphic novel/comic run of the destiny’s edge story because I think the artwork for it would be amazing.

Yes, many other games have Action Figures, Mega Bloks sets and novelty items, it would be nice to be able to buy these things for the people we enjoy playing with for real. Like give them an Asura action figure, twilight replica and a gem card for their Birthday! Would be awesome.

I do not usually purchase clothing or jewelry items for games, but I love the action figures, weapons, props and other toys

I have actually amassed quite a collection of gaming toys. Replica decorative weapons and foam weapons are great too! Not a big fan of plushies either, over time plush toys do not hold up as well as action figures, so I usually tend to avoid them.

This is to ANet’s sales department. What are the odds that ANet would make a charm for something like a Pandora bracelet? I know my girlfriend would love something like this for Christmas. Guild Wars 2 has a decent female population and i’m sure other female members would like something like this as well. As for the male population you could make a ring or necklace.

Just a thought, no harm in putting the idea out there.

I think jewellery would be a really neat idea- imo some of the best fandom merch are subtle things such as jewellery. Those sorts of things often can be admired by people who don’t know about the fandom, simply from a design standpoint, but also a lot more if you’re in the know

GW2 is particularly barren on the merchandise front. They don’t even have basic merch like t-shirts or posters. Completely wasted opportunity by their marketing team. If people could have bought elite spec posters when the elite specs were revealed they would have made a mint while the hype train was in full swing.

With the periodic rage that shows up on the forums, a voodoo doll version would probably sell better.

Basically anything that’s a mini in game could be a collectible figure. Especially the notable characters in game.

In all honesty, Think Geek would probably be happy to do a team-up with you guys. I know I would love to buy tokens of my GW2 geekery.

A guy on DeviantArt made a 3D printout of the elementalist symbol for a keychain. I can’t imagine it’d be terribly difficult to take an image file over to Cafepress or something similar and make a mug for yourself.

If enough people did that, I imagine Anet would probably keep a few in stock. -Sid

Obviously Meatspace, as there is no animation in-game to hold a mug – meaning implementation would be a developmental hassle.
