Lack of players on maps/events
I think it’s people thinking that the loot you get doing DS meta is better than the other metas.
And when there isn’t a (taxi’ed) meta going on, they’re just plain old maps.
I hear talk of the mega servers being a bit buggy with HoT maps and making too many and spreading people out too much, but like I said, just forum whispers, not seen a red post on it, nor have I looked for one. But yeah, I have experienced the same alot playing HoT maps, but then I mostly play off peak hours during the day, so that might be the reason for my experience, though you would think id see more as most are shoved into one map.,

Dragon’s Stand meta is also the most straightforward of the HoT maps. You just need to push three lanes in more or less a straight line, while other maps are harder to navigate or require too much hopping around to maximize your participation %.

Yeah, effort vs reward.
I have no problems with any of the new maps beside TD meta ,surprised that you have issues with VB op it always seems to be one of the most run constantly and people seem to have got it down pat i completed t4 day with 10mins to spare then t4 night with similar time left.
Thing with HoT is that as all the maps have a minimum requirement of some organization so its either get a taxi or start taxing into your map otherwise its gonna be a fail. I think a lot of players don’t realize how important taxing is in HoT or are not even aware of being able to use lfg to get into a different map.
Axemaster is easy to kill once you get the mastery for it. Every time I am on VB I always kill him. He only takes 5-10 people to burn him. His only other hitch is that if you dont’ break his bar and you have the debuff on you, he one shot downs you. It’s a L2P issue, but you’ll get him eventually.
I think for VB Specifically the problem lies in that day-time has very little affect on night time and daytime has a much more linear way to progress. Each outpost has a set number of events and they run in order to a completion. At night time the idea of holding Rally Points and running Supplies for 20 minutes until the bosses spawn its more effort for “less” reward, since you have to get to T2 1/3 before the bosses spawn to get T4 for killing all the bosses. People don’t want to wait that long so they generally leave and then you lose rally points and can’t level them if you don’t own them. It’s organizable but you have to start taxing people in as soon as nightfall hits.

Wouldn’t be so bad if during meta the LFG wasn’t garbage to work with trying to get a taxi.
Yeah, can’t say I can ever catch a taxi to an organized VB. I only ever see DS. Never a taxi for AB either, just a hit or miss.
I see them all the time, for AB it’s mostly when the map refreshes or when it’s breach time. This happens quite a bit for me at least. With the Raids out it’s a little harder I do wish they would put a Raid portion in like they have with dungeons and then those people will move their LFR’s out of the open world section.

After spending a lot of time in VB for the past two days, I found that you have to rely on LFG to get into a map that’s actively trying to go for T4. Usually these maps succeed. The same goes for the AB meta.
As soon as you get into a VB map, look at the progress bar if it’s daytime. That will tell you right away, if you need to check LFG for an active map.
AB is a bit different. The LFG taxis get advertised closer to when the challenges start.
My biggest question is why do I always get put in empty maps and then have to find a taxi to an active map when clearly there is active maps that are not full that I could have been put on. I guess the answer to this lays with the programmers who seem unable to write the proper code or possibly do not have the tech for it, whatever the answer, its frustrating as a player and I wish they would hurry up and fix this, and while they are at it, add a Raid section to LFG, so the open world section is not just a spamfest of single players LFR.
players are farming CS. this week the rewards constitute charged lodestone.

I’ve been in a bunch of VB maps where the day time bar was full with plenty of time left and then nothing happens at night. It’s as if people filled the bar during the day then just left.
I have to amend my VB statement. I just got out of an organized run that went perfectly. That made me feel good.
