Lacking visibility
We have pointed this out since Beta Weekend 1. ANet doesn’t care about this.
A simple fix would be to be able to remove other players particle effect. It would also greatly help people with low FPS during event :P
They do have an option to reduce particle effects.
Sadly, it doesn’t work at all.

While that might solve the problem of others blocking your view, it would make particle FX worse, as they scale to the size of the target. The particle effects in GW2 are ludicrous. I fought the golem champion inside the research facility in NW Malchor’s yesterday. For half the fight, he was nearly impossible to see — and it was just him, my character and pet.
Has there ever been any official statement to this issue?
Yea, this has been a problem since release. They even had an update that was to make the boss/monster more visible, which it actually is compared to the way it used to be, but even with the change you can still barely see anything.
This plus camera needs to be addressed. Some JPs are only difficult because you literally can’t see the next jump without it zooming into the back of your head, and then when you start to move it quickly zooms out and completely disorients you. Or it does the zoom in zoom out zoom in zoom out zoom in zoom out. Overall just a bad system. First person view would fix this instantly, but there’s already a thread about that.
