some days ago I witnessed “Lady in White” event. I thought it was interesting and wanted to go deeper into it. Why does she come here? Why does she cry at THAT grave? Why does she want to go home? Why cant she? I started my research with looking at her grave. It says “We will see you again” creepy, right? Well with this see you again I think that this is the grave of Lady in White herself. And the comment, “we will see you again” means that her family wanted to bring her back or even “enchanted” her grave. Well, the enchantment became a curse and now that lady is trapped between the worlds. She wants to go home, that’s why she asks for help. As soon as she approaches the gates of cemetery she becomes EVIL, attacks you and says she can not go home. I think this is because she’s a ghost and Grenth is holding her in graveyard.

Its based on all those ghostly women stories dealing with hitchhikers and such. Still nice of ANet to put down something like that as an event.

Yeah, where is this event. Are those the graves in Ebonhawke?

“We will see you again” The epitath is for the child she murdered. She cannot go home and weeps at that grave because she is trapped here and forced to wander until she finds the spirit of the child.

La Llorona is also called the weeping woman and lady in white.

geo, it might lead away from the game, but I think you should continue your digging for information and details into the Lady in White. Could get into some interesting folk-lore that bisects history and turn up that maybe this urban legend didn’t start with La Llorona. All because a dynamic event piqued your interest ^.^

Ironic that her grave says “And the sun will always shine on us” when she only appears at night (either that or she creates a faux night during her event towards the end via fog and drastically reduced lighting. Or both, I forgot.)
