A little off topic from the rest of all these other revenant hype/complaint posts but I hope that this mastering of languages thing coming out (and whatever that involves) continues as the game expands, doesn’t have anything to do with Maguuma, but I’d love to eventually learn more about Jotun

I’m hoping for the same thing! It’d be really cool to learn some of the more mysterious languages and learn more about the other cultures already present in Tyria, like the ogres, Jotun (as you said) and Largos. Of course there’s already Wiki articles on these things, but wouldn’t it be awesome to interact with them in game? Maybe in Harathi Hinterlands or the Iron Marches, you get a special dialogue with the Ogres after you beat them if you have a mastery in that category?

I really hope the languages are actually audible. I’d love to really hear the native tongues of all the different races. At least until my characters “learn” their language. Then maybe translate it.
