Large battles and music
Don’t forget that you can add your own playlists to the game! Search for it It’s fun and allowed by the company (one of the devs explained it).
Marush Ifri, Noreena Gorun, Arsaname, Desra Ele…
I’m glad someone touched on this topic!
I’ve imported music from other games to enhance my battle experience. From early on, I felt that the base combat music is sort of muted or subdued for the action. It didn’t make me want to get into large battles. The imported music encourages me to pick fights.

for world boss fights, this is my jam.
Never fails to make it seem hectic and fast paced instead of the stack em up and knock em down mentality
I shut the music off in all games. Just gets on my nerves.
I havent found yet a suitable battle playlist, I might try again someday.
But I can suggest a few pieces for boss battles I particularly enjoy :

Order matters when you’re doing a playlist since the game will always apply this order.
Crystal level-Combat phase is my favorite intense music for boss fights, it just suits perfectly any serious fight IMO so that’s always a perfect start in my book.
Tragic decision only occurs when the fight lasts for a while and I feel like the song is inspiring some sort of struggle so it’s most of the time fitting : whenever a fight is long in GW2 it’s most likely a struggle.
Finally Unfinished battle coming right after Tragic decision makes for a moral boost, the song feels like a “Come on you can do it !” so I like it a lot too.
This is the kind of thing I’d like to build for the battle playlist I’m still searching.

It does a random sort after the first song, but always plays the first. The key is to have a blank, short (1-2 sec) piece at the top of the playlist. It will play the ‘nothing’ first, then go right into the random shuffle.

Never saw the function, and still don’t think it’ll do it for me. Importing music from elsewhere will bring me into the world the track came from, not GW2.
It’s also no excuse for not giving an appropriate theme for some of the insane battlefields.
A number of youtubers have created “epic” play lists predominantly from groups that make trailer music like
Immediate Music
E.S Posthumous
Two steps from hell
Trailerhead
Some of those are very suitable for large scale battles. I used to play those when I WVW’d regularly. Gets the blood pumping it does

O I didn’t know, I don’t recall having my intended order messed up but ofc with 3 pieces it’s harder to notice^^
