Last time you had the oh yes! feeling?
I really enjoy the invasions. And, yes, ‘yay, Champ loot’. I’m not much of an Orr person, so it’s great, in my eyes, to get those high-level mats from the loot bags/boxes. Plus, getting a named exotic is always an ‘Oh, yes!’ moment. Now I am looking forward to one of those Ascended gear boxes. =)
I never had that “Oh, yes!” feeling in GW2 except for when they improved the rewards a couple patches ago. Other than that, I look at the pre-patch notes that Anet puts on the forums and they don’t interest me at all. The last patch I participated in was the Southsun patch, which wasn’t even that good either.
I feel like I’d have a ton more, “Oh, yes!” feelings if Anet removed the waypoints system entirely. They created an amazing, beautiful world for your eyes to enjoy and then they created the skip button (being the waypoints) so you don’t have to look at the world. I get most of my happiness from looking at the beautiful mmo worlds. This is where Spock comes in and says, “That is highly illogical”, and I agree.
Me, a friend, and a guildie of hers ran F/U today with 2 pugs.
I had to talk the healing guard down out of meleeing with his scepter and the warrior/mesmer pug bought him a zerker GS for the fight.
It was a pretty exciting moment.
FEEL THE STRENGTH OF THE EARTH
Vicodium – Ranger (IX) Coldsnap
My first exotic drop, the named rifle “Vera”… at first I didn’t know what it was, the text was so small at the end of the screen. Hang on, orange text… exotic… named… OMGWTFBBQ!
Every exotic that drops for me is one of those moments again, but just without the pleasant shock feeling.
Hasn’t happened a lot since, I guess if I get that rotten precursor drop it’ll happen again, but I’ll be too busy slapping myself cos I won’t believe it.

The last time? Well a month ago I bought a Charrzooka for my engi, paid quite a few gold for it. I was horribly disappointing when I found out it animated and sounded like just a normal rifle/shotgun. I felt like I had just completely wasted a small chunk of gold. About a week or so ago, when doing world bosses with my fire ele, I got a charzooka drop. I was like “YES!!” and quickly listed it on TP to get my money back :P
Pretty frequently in PvE actually, but in PvP, maybe one in every fifty games.
It would help if they would stop killing builds on the classes which already had the least amount of builds to start with.
I did the troll’s end jumping puzzle for the first time yesterday and I only fell a couple times at one part. I had never really bothered with the puzzles until I needed the emp fragments for crafting. I am having fun with them and have done a few others I had not done before. I was rather happy completing them.
Based on gameplay? The first time I was able to solo Horace (it took me like 10 tries).
Based on lucky? When I saw Dusk in my inventory (best feel ever).

I get the “oh no” feelings far more than a “oh yes” feeling in this game…
I was drinking koolaid when i got Spark from a TA chest.
OOOOH YEAAAHHH!!!!
skill wise ive done some good stuff in arah. otherwise usually im like OH NO when i see the new patches
Liadri, all I’m going to say
Liadri on 8 orbs:-)

This post pretty much sums up why the game has become what it has become. People don’t mind if the difficulty is trivial. In fact, they’d rather have it trivial as long as it comes with a big, fat loot piñata.
They don’t want to earn anything. They just want to have everything.
Hmm,
I was solo roaming in WvW a couple months ago when a group of five hostiles noticed me and started following. I led them into the water because I had spent a lot of time practicing underwater combat and had made a point of maxing my underwater gear. I hoped that my preparation would give me enough of an edge to survive the encounter. I managed to defeat three of the five in the initial encounter and put the fourth down while he and the fifth fled. The fifth got away though.
My oh yes feeling? humm maybe on the beta events exotic pvp\pve drop on WvW.
Last “oh yes!” moment? Beating a Scarlet invasion with less than 30 seconds on the clock was pretty exciting.
And had some exciting wins and then hilarious defeat in WvW the other night.. half a dozen of us yoinked a couple of camps, couple of towers and a fort – before literally a hundred or so enemies came and roftstomped all our gains. “Stack on the keep lord!” our commander said. And then he – and us – melted in a few seconds when they burst through the gate. Good times!
About a week ago, when I took some pretty inexperienced guildies through Arah path 4 and we took down Simin. It was pretty cool.
One of my favorite stories comes from a guild mission. We were doing a rush and everyone in the guild had finshed but one guildie, who wasn’t on mumble with us. And the entire guild went back to the beginning and started escorting her with the time running out. She’d hit a trap and 12 healing wells were up in a sec. A creature would spawn and we’d decimate it almost before it knew where it was. And we led her through to the end. She finished it with seconds to spare.
And though she wasn’t on mumble with us, the cheering and the congratulations and this feeling of just helping someone through the puzzle was just magic.
Good times.
I’m hoping that the new Tequatl battle will make me go “oh, heck yes” Whenever I see it pop… but I don’t know yet; it really depends on how they implement all the new mechanics to the battle and how well they function.
The last time I was actually like “oh, yes!” in GW2? I have no idea… loot doesn’t really excite me and battles haven’t really excited me very much in GW2 because they kind of just feel spammy.
I like to pvp in most games, but I can’t bring my skins I use in PvE into PvP… so that has kind of kept me away from it… so no oh yes moments from that either.
Launch day. And for a few weeks after. Never since.
barely dodging a karka roll.
Zodiac skins. “Oh yes! They’re so ugly I can opt out again!”
I had one during the entire ‘Strike on Southsun’ community event where we took down the Karka Queen and cleaned all the temples in Orr with an enormous zerg. Great night.
When I walked into the Zephyr Sanctum.
A true, big “Oh, yeah” moment? When this game shipped, i’m afraid.
Remember, remember, 15th of November
Reached 300g due to champ farming and was able to get Human T3 cultural.. Yes, I’m that poor and shallow. :|
Luck: Randomly getting zap from forge when cleaning out my guild bank of rares
Skill: Liadri 8 orbs

300… gold… poor?
.
I have 120 gold, and i was feeling like a millionaire. Until now. Now i have a “Aw, poop” feeling.
Made it to the end of a(nother) jump puzzle. Without ‘cheating.’ And then watched my husband fall on his face 100 or so times. Oh yeah, felt spectacular (since generally he has no issues with crap like that. Although, I’m sure had I given him a console controller, he’d have spanked my sorry kitten. chuckle)
Last time I had an “oh yes” feeling was when I beat liadri. Being partially color blind I couldn’t see jack in the arena. When I beat her, it was the first time since… god probably back during like week 1 when I had full exotic on my ele.
A few recent ones I can remember.
Defeating Scarlet with 1 second left on the timer when she finished her “dying” speech.
Leveling my asura warrior (he hasn’t been too long at 80), doing one of the centaur events in harathi that ends fighting a veteran with some regular mobs. I knew I was over my head since I was still a couple levels below that area but went in anyway, managed to kill the regulars but couldn’t get the veteran down to even 3/4 of his health when I got downed, the only nearby waypoint I had was contested, watching my health slowly go down… when suddenly a guardian and mesmer arrive, guardian wacks the veteran away with the hammer, mesmer creates the illusions to attack it while it resurrects me, and off we go to kill the veteran and the adds that were respawning by then.
Finishing the southsun skipping stones jumping puzzle on my mesmer. That was a “oh yeah” moment followed by a “oh crap” one… since I proudly start to announce on map chat that I was offering portals to the top of the puzzle, portal a group up, and /say “chest is this way”, jump to the plank to where the chest was, missing the jump and landing flat on my face below..
Doing the cliffside fractals for the first time, and seeing that huge stone giant breaking the chains and walking away.
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

Not finding the aesthetics of Orr particularly pleasing has nothing to do with my skill level, or perceived lack thereof. You may follow the zerg in invasions, I prefer to interact with the portals with a smaller group. The ‘loot’ is good, there is no denying that. I am happy to have the opportunity once every couple of days, as I find it exciting.
It’s posts like these that demonstrate what’s wrong with the community on these forums. People don’t want to ‘learn’ anything. They just want to ‘make’ uninformed judgments.
See what I did there? Thanks for your feedback, though. =)
This weekend in wvw, we were defending Greenbriar and while being outnumbered slowly but surely were kicking them back to the beginning of the map.
I had two recently.
1. When I saw the model of the Twisted Nightmare.
The fact that the devs took the time to create a new unique model with new animations meant a lot to me.
In fact, the Twisted Nightmare has some of the most impressive animations I have ever seen in a game.
2. When I got the Infinite Watchknight tonic. Then I found out about the cooldown…

Today in sPvP.
I was on the map with the 1 underwater point. My bunker guardian loves this point and can pretty much bunker it all day long vs multiple opponents, which usually results in a win for my team.
I was so good at this that one of the opponents messaged me saying:-
“Thanks for the video, sending it with a report to Anet on you for cheating.”
Apparently I am so good they thought I had to be cheating…lol
I did kill 3-4 of them several times in a row.
When I was in orr farming with some friends (before champ loot patch) and a Leaf of Kudzu dropped for me A guildie of mine had gotten Spark just a few days before that from that exact same spot ^^ We were all on TS together for both of the drops, which made it even more awesome.

12 months ago when i reached lev80 on my main by doing CM story spam
Solo’d 2 level 80 players, 1 had Twilight, on my level 28 Mesmer. It was epic oh the Twilight was on a Glass Warrior, who failed to land his stuns 3x in row. He went to run away with Rush but used my Mantra to Disrupt the skill and he was toast after that!
Felt great… Besides that, the last time I had that awesome feeling from starting this game… See Answer Below…

Beta Weekend 1 > LOADING SCREEN!!!! Oh Yeah! Was Epic, I want it back… Lol
When I identified an abyss dye the other night! Also, when I noticed how pretty some of the cultural armor is, when I saw that the bird in the Zephyr Rucksack back skin makes noise and anytime I see that the daily activity is the sanctum sprint.

Because we can’t be angry about both?
First time was when I opened a Black Lion chest and got a Permanent Bank Access Contract which was then worth 200g. I didn’t use it or put it up for sale.
The second time, was when I checked the price on TP about a month later (after the Queen’s Jubilee patch) and it was now worth more than 400g. Yes!
Yesterday fractal level 48 and an assasins weapon box drops. That was pretty much a Oh yes event. Because I can save myself leveling my Huntsman to 500 now ^^
yesterday when I found a chaos gun precursor off regular champ loot in frostgorge

Gratz Shows that you should do what you love, not what you think will bring you the best rewards.
When I found the love of my life. Our eyes met and we engaged in combat, and once I bested her she shrunk herself a bit and we’re now companions, lovers, and best friends. <3
Mostly in GW1.
In GW2 its more of an Oh No feeling.
Liadri. When I killed her in the last second, downed, just before the floor opened.
Last time was today when I got an alpha key to start playing Rust, a cheapo browser game.
I’m pretty bored of GW2, I know it’s not Gw1, and that’s why I’m bored I think.
Good luck to all the WoW players, now you have your treadmill, cya.

Dude, WoW players have absolutely no reason to step into GW2. They have WoW, which just came out with a ton of new content.
That said, nor do GW1 players.
GW2 is its own game and it takes its own direction. I don’t quite like the ascended stuff, but as I can progress towards it at my own pace I don’t really mind, that much.
