Last time you had the oh yes! feeling?
Liadri. When I killed her in the last second, downed, just before the floor opened.
I had that moment too after 4 hours of fruitless tries at 5 in the morning ^^
When I found the love of my life. Our eyes met and we engaged in combat, and once I bested her she shrunk herself a bit and we’re now companions, lovers, and best friends. <3
I hope you are aware she is just a machine, anatomically more accurate than females humans but still, just a machine o_O

Haven’t had that feeling yet. One year on. I get more Oh No! moments though. Each and every time they introduce yet MORE grind, and MORE lies. “We don’t want vertical progression.” Raises another tier above Exotic
Soon we will have ANOTHER tier after Ascended, then people won’t be saying ‘Oh no!’ It’ll be ‘I quit.’
I had one the evening of the latest patch. I hit Esc, then clicked the “Exit to Desktop” option. Awesome.

Oh don’t worry. After the ascended grind is over they just raise the level cap and it all starts all over again.
People here probably have incredibly sad lives to keep playing a game that only gives them “oh no!” moments for one year. Or worse, to keep posting on its forum when they don’t play it anymore.
@OP : Beating SAB W2Z2 (took me 2 hours, pre-nerf, solo, no guide).

Sure. But it takes a while to get out of the habit of posting on the forums, even after you quit the game (it’s hard to quit the game, it’s hard to quit the forums.)
My last “Oh Yes” moment was probably when I completed the Obsidian Sanctum for the first time (without a mesmer). Lots of time when I had fun since then, but not that level of elation.
Liadri, I screamed, I cried
I’ll be saying this when I get my necro’ to 80 so I can go to Orr and give Risen their conditions back with interest. See how THEY like it!
WVW is a daily occurence, but the last moment like that outside of WVW was completing tribulation mode in SAB.
They haven’t actually said that. Especially not about the level cap.
Remember, remember, 15th of November
Yesterday after doing a Champ train I decided to open bags.
Guild Defender plopped right there on my inventory.
I had that seizure drooling moment from Futurama and promptly checked the pricing of it on Trading Post.
It’s been that long i can’t remember………Launch maybe!
It was at the weekend, completing a map I hadn’t finished before, and stumbling across a gorgeous hidden cave. Sighed, paused for screenies, soaked up the scenery. Core PvE game > Living World forever.
Today when one node did give 4 soft wood logs. I am so bored. Gather wood, grind events, do dailys, log JP alts, craft couple stupid items and log out and be kittened off.
Seafarer’s Rest EotM grinch
My first jumping puzzle achievement, since I am the WORST jumper EVER because I get really nervous and my mouse hand gets all twitchy. Took me an hour and had to start at the bottom so many times. But it sure felt awesome to complete it.
I’ve been getting a lot of the “Oh Noes!” feeling lately, especially with the introduction of ascended gear and the conversion of this “game” into an unpaid part-time job. WvW has its moments when we’re not being steamrollered by a zerg that outnumbers us 5 to 1, but other than that this game just doesn’t provide the fun and excitement to justify the grindfest it has become.
From pre-release up to November. Something happened in November that really soured me and turned me into a grouchy old pessimist.
About three days ago, wandering around mount maelstrom after killing the golem, looking for one more event to finish dailies, see an event to kill a random veteran in the middle of nowhere, a black moa bird which called mini moas as adds… kill it, a portal appears, teleported to an area I had never seen before which turned out to be a jumping puzzle.
And also last night when I finally managed to complete it.. (kept falling to my dead in the last part which meant I had to find another event to get back in)..
Might be old news to most, but it was a nice surprise for me..
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
When I finally got Twilight after many many months and from deciding to go get Twilight instead of Incinerator.

People just want to complain about lack of content, but the world is filled with stuff like this, that people would find if they took the time to look for it. Glad you found one.
I remember my first oh yes! feelings best. When I rolled my first toon in Caledon and joined huge groups actually completing DEs. Doing my first ever JP in Morgan’s Spiral. Feeling like I’d climbed Everest. That feeling of accomplishment as I unlocked my weapon skills and utility skills.
Fast forward to my first ever dungeon run, getting to Orr, and hitting 80. Those were pretty awesome moments.
I haven’t had many of those moments lately. There’s very little that’s new to give me that oh yes! feeling of accomplishment or discovery. Everything “new” is temporary, shallow, and gimmicky. Getting 16/16 for a LS meta just isnt’ oh yes! worthy. It’s usually oh finally!

YES, the Secret Garden JP. I found this also and died once falling from the top of the tree. It was fun to do and a beautiful spot in the game. An oasis of sorts!
I concur with a lot of the sentiment that the temporary content just doesn’t give that feeling of “awesome” when it’s completed. There’s not much meat to it, and it’s gone in a couple weeks.
Arena.net REALLY needs to start moving with their PERMANENT content now that they claim they’ve built up their seasonal rotation content this first year. The Living Story is fine and all, and it DOES give a good sense that Tyria isn’t a static lifeless experience… but there really needs to be something longer lasting as well, and it really needs to start coming soon.
