So, I was just curious what are in these prof boxes? Are they like special skins that’d be fitting for your prof? Is it just exotic/rare gear that your prof can use?
Anyone know? I’m kinda curious about whether or not I should buy one or not…

You have much better odds dealing with TP. If you must earn laurels and spend them to get gear, then buy the 10 dye pack for 5 laurels. Sell that and use the money to buy 5-6 rares with the exact stats you want. Your total stats will be 1% lower than what they could be if you gambled for exotics, but who cares.

OMG Anet let a hint to next months update leak out, Ranger is getting Rifle added!
Hmm, I’d chalk it up to simply an error on ANet’s part. Although, if it is deliberate it’s definitely a big deal! Have any other classes been receiving weapons outside their ordinary range of expertise?
I bought one for guardian just to see what sort of gear I would get. I got two swords, one of them had a +poison duration sigil…. You know, for all my guardian poisons I apply….

Even though it sucks, I think it is good to buy at least one. To witness firsthand how the rewards are only meant to appear appealing, but in reality are a net loss.
It’s an easy way to gear up if you’re not into doing dungeons.
New players that didn’t rush to 80, are likely to have collected a good amount of Laurels by then, making Profession boxes a simple way to get some easy rares / exotics.
On the other hand, they are a good source of ectos too.
Just open a bunch, salvage, deposit/sell.
If we’re lucky, precursors might be on the list of possible items that come out of it.

Yea I like the game but sometimes I really feel the rewards are very lacking. The loot tables need work and I should never kill a champion or legendary mob and not get any loot for it, which happens a lot, but that is another topic.
