So, I’m sitting on 334 laurels, and I was curious as to if any of the items the laurel merchant sells are actually worth getting… specifically, I would like to know if the Heavy Crafting Bag is worth getting, the wiki says it only comes with 3 random T6 mats… but, it does only cost 1 laurel.

I was also probably going to nab the two minis, just because.

You could make a lot of money trading laurels for the T6 mats… or you could buy all ascended trinkets. I wouldn’t buy any of the minis or the other useless stuff.

I recently bought a pair of rings (Solaria and Lunaria) and an amulet (Syzergy,) not so much because I need ascended stats, as because they just seemed cool to me. (And happen to match my armor build.) There are a lot of cool trinkets available for laurels, flavor-wise, so I’d recommend looking through them if you have a boatload of laurels and haven’t upgraded yet.

With that many, might as well get the minis, or at least the Endless Mystery Cat Tonic, if you’re into that kind of thing. Or you could just blow it all on 668 Unidentified Dye. Not gonna lie, the dye tempts me more than it should. If I hadn’t liked the celestial-stat gear so much, I probably would have gotten that cat tonic, personally.

If you have a use for them and would like to save yourself some karma elsewhere, some Obsidian Shards might come in handy. Assuming you’re interested in legendary weapons or ascended crafting.

Amulets – 40 laurels or 30 laurels + 250 badges of honor
Dont buy rings with laurels, you get them through fotm
Don’t buy accessories with laurels, you get them through guild missions

WvW infusions – +5(stat) +1% dmg to guards

WvW +1 Rank – 2 laurels + 50 badges of honor

if you have the badges you can literally rank up 167 times

@ Galtrix: I was thinking the same thing… then again, I don’t want to blow ALL of my laurels on T6 mats. This is mainly due to the fact that I feel like eventually more stuff will be added to the laurel merchant (I hope)

@ Redenaz: I already have my ascended trinkets and junk for my main, and I have no alts I care enough about to upgrade them with ascended stuff. I was thinking the dyes might also be pretty fun to buy… but, I’m not sure if the potential profit on dyes would be better than T6 mats. I also have no need to waste laurels on obsidian shards, I have a fair amount of them already and I’m also sitting on about 3 million karma.

@ Charak: Oh, interesting… didn’t know you could buy WvW ranks with laurels. That could be something to look into…

Its 5 laurel per recipe, so you may need about 35 for 1 armor set come ascended armor crafting

Yeah they added it last patch, its actually very nice to buy ranks now, to bad I already spent like 2000 badges beforehand, only got to buy a couple

Weird. I actually still use exotics in some specs because i don’t have enough laurels and i think that i have got max laurels. My warrior would need tequila sunset killing spec ascended trinkets, but i don’t have enough laurels.
