Easy question, 1st login reward no laurels. Where are the daily laurels now?

Laurels are spread over the login rewards. You don’t get a laurel every day, but by the end of a full cycle of 28 days you’ll have either almost as many laurels as you’d normally earn in a month, or more laurels if you pick the 28th day bonus laurel reward.

If this is truly the case, that sucks. It just slows down ascended crafting even more when you need 5 for each recipe.

those are Laurel’s reward. So you should get it on Day 2, 7, 9, 16, 21, 23. You get different amount each time.
Total laurels: 35

And you get a choice to get more on the 28th day.

So, uh.. your crafting is slowed down because you have the potential to earn more laurels in a month now than you did before?

There is no ‘day you can’t log in’. If a Laurel is given on Day 2 of the login rewards, it’s impossible to miss that day. If you log in on Day 1, can’t play at all the next two days, and then log in again.. congratulations, you’ve earned the Day 2 login reward and get your laurel.

You don’t need to log in on consecutive days. The days you can play, you get rewarded. The days you can’t simply delay your progression through the reward list.

As over all the rewards of all of them have been decreased. Sure if you select the 28 day laurel reward you will maybe get more laurels than before but then all the other daily rewards end up being less than before. Its a huge nerf and like always white knights gonna come in and tell you that the heaping pile of crap taste like candy.

If you log in for day 1’s reward today and then miss the next three days, then on the fourth day you will get the reward from day 2 when you log in. Your progress will be halted but you will never lose your progress.

In the previous system you could earn ~38 laurels in 28 days.

Thats just kittening awesome. I’ve been screaming for more ways to get laurels because its pretty much the only thing slowing you down when crafting ascended gear and now we get even less than before…

You get 5 less laurels than before if you don’t choose the laurel bag at the 28th day, If you do select it you will have alot more than with the old system. On monthly basis.

Day 7 – 10 laurels
Day 9 – 2 laurels
Day 16 – 3 laurels
Day 21 – 15 laurels
Day 23 – 4 laurels

That’s 35 laurels in total, not including the laurels you can choose to get on the last day.

Edit: Does anyone know how many laurels you get if you choose the option on the last day?

I’ll repeat. You don’t need to log in on consecutive days. You will still need to log in on the total number of days to get the reward.

Log in on Day 1, you get 2 Mystic Coins. The Day 2 reward is a Laurel, but you don’t log in that day. I do. I get my Laurel. Day 3 comes around. You log in, it’s the second day that you’ve logged in, you get a Laurel for your Day 2 reward, while I get the Day 3 reward of 200 Luck. If you also log in on Day 4, you’d get the Day 3 reward of Luck then.

Over 28 days, there are 35+ laurels available to be earned, which winds up being more laurels than previously available in a month if you choose the 28th day laurel bonus reward. The laurels are staggered as rewards over those 28 days, but once you’ve logged in on 28 different days, you’ll have all 35+ of those laurels, even if the 28 days are spread over two months or three months or however long. So if you aren’t able to log in on a given day, it’s not the end of the world. Your progress will be set back a bit, but it would’ve been set back with the old system too.

The amount of laurels you get varies per day.

1 + 10 + 2 + 3 + 15 + 4 = 35 Laurels over the 28 days. The only thing we don’t know is how many laurels come in the 28th day reward. From the progression I suspect it may be 20, but even if it’s only 10, that’s still 45 laurels, which is more laurels than were physically possible to get in a one month period beforehand (31 days of 1 laurel, plus 10 for a monthly, is 41 laurels). And because this is over 28 days rather than a month, if you log in every day over the year, it essentially counts as a thirteenth month being added. So not only are you getting at least 4-7 more laurels per month, but you’re getting another bonus 45 laurels from that extra thirteenth month from those rounded off days for every non-February month that goes by.

And you’re also getting 6 Tomes of Knowledge over each 28 day period. And a random exotic, which could very well be a precursor. And four Black Lion Trading Company items per 28 days, rather than depending on RNG and hoping for one when completing a daily. And extra transmutation charges. And crafting materials. And so on.

You get one Laurel per day if you finish 5 Wintersday Dailies. This means 17 additional Laurels this month and 13 next month.

It pretty much kills the competition because laurels are the most valuable currency, but yea, there ya go.

But if you’re here complaining on forums about reduced laurel rewards, I have to assume that you value laurels and are going to pick laurels as the reward, instead of Bloodstone Dust or Tomes of Knowledge or Mystic Clovers or whatever else is in the other options. And if you do that, then you wind up with sizably more laurels than you would have had before.

I mean, if you’d trade your laurel rewards for 10 Tomes of Knowledge, well, that’s something you can do now (exact numbers of Tomes of Knowledge may vary). It wasn’t an option before. While it may not be a wise option to choose, is having options really a bad thing?

Oh I’m not complaining about it, I’m just asking, now if between all the login rewards AND choosing to get the laurel bag you got less, then I’d be complaining.

But it looks like if you choose the chest of laurels you can get 55 laurels a month (!)

I’ll probably be choosing that since laurels are the one thing you can’t get any other way.

The laurel system could use some tweaking…….besides that, the new daily system is far easier with better rewards…..especially the AP rewards.

According to the wiki, via two links from the login reward page, 20 laurels.

Basically if you go in vacation for 2 weeks you cannot catchup to do your monthly anymore. Great isn’kitten

Not for the month but you don’t lose your place in the 28 day rotation. If you were on vacation for two weeks you wouldn’t have gotten the daily laurels for those days either.
