There’s one thing i dont understand, doing fotm it takes you 10 days to get a ring in the WORST case, since u can get one from chest as well.

Now, doing laurels, it takes you 30 days, in the worst case, and 20 days in the best case you do the monthly, am i missing something?

Just my $0.02, but I think maybe they are looking at the time/skill involved? Fractals, while not terribly hard, do take a bit more organizing and time to do. While the dailies simply are not. I think they are looking at this as a supplement for those who don’t want to do FOTM, and this is what they offer in it’s place.

I dunno, that’s my guess.

Because the amount of skill needed to complete dailies is miniscule compared to doing level 10+ fractals. You need to show some form of dedication to get BiS gear, whether that is skill or grind, and since ascended gear is not required for anything but high level fractals, it’s it’s an optional prestigious piece of gear you don’t have to get if you don’t want to, like a named exotic.

Seriously… Ascended is a minor upgrade to exotic… And it’s all you’ll need for 2013. lol At least you’ll feel like you have a goal for a few months before you lose your reasons to log in.

Just being cynical I still like the game. =P

ascended gear lets you slot for more gold / karma/ exp / mf now…. by like +30% per infusion slot
not sure i even have words for how bad this is.

Fotm lvl 10 is as easy as doing a daily seriously…

20 days or pay 180+ gold for instant ascended amulet that can’t use agony…

I dont think they thought this through…

isn’t it ring vs. amulet? Like aren’t you getting a ring (2 slots) in fractals and an amulet (only 1 slot) from dailies?
