Hi everyone.

So recently I’ve been thinking about legendaries. I’d love to get a legendary greatsword for a couple of my characters, but I’m not too sure if I should try to get it before the expansion pack comes out or if I should wait. Does anyone have any opinions on this? Do you even think they will be coming out with any new legendary greatswords if there are already 3?

I will greatly appreciate any suggestions!

If I were you, I would definitely wait. That way you can make sure you’re making the legendary you like the most. Even if they don’t add a new GS (but I think they will) there will still be the precursor crafting mastery.
If you want to get started already, I think you could make the gift of mastery and gift of fortune since those are the same for all existing legendaries and I’d assume they will be used for new ones as well.

I think it would be better to wait.

You could make your greatsword, then HoT features one you like more.

and of course they’ll come out with a new greatsword, despite the fact they shouldn’kittens greatsword, they over exaggerate the accursed, overused things.

Definitely wait a bit, at least until they release more information about the legendaries and masteries. I have just been collecting the raw materials so I will hopefully have a little bit of an easier time once the expac comes out (even if I do end up going for a legendary that is already in game, never know how things will turn out )

Probably wait, should be some cool new ones, but I’m pretty sure the prices of old legendaries that people still want is going to go up. So you’re twilight is only gonna get more expensive…

You can already start with the first two “legendary ingedrients”, they’re the same for every legendary weapon. Only the 3rd one and the precursor differ. I don’t think they will change that pattern with the new legendaries.

I’d definitely wait, because the actual greatswords are way too popular, I’m just not excited anymore if I see another dusk or two in a pug group.

Even completely ignoring WHICH legendary you want to make, HoT will be adding new collections that reward precursors via masteries. Even if the collections are as troublesome as making Mawdrey, it’ll be much better than farming up a thousand or so gold.

Man i just hope they will add more “serious” looking legendaries than the actual glitter/unicorn/flowery stuff we have right now. I have found 3 precursors so far and never wanted to make one since they all look out of context to me.

I think you should follow the same advice people give to new home buyers: do it while you can afford it and have the interest.

There are existing legendaries which are currently cheaper to put together than they have been in a long time (lower cost of ectos, T6 mats, and precursors). Some indeterminate time in the future, there will be new legendaries and, because they are new, any ingredients that can be traded will be in high demand.

If you really want a legendary now, I’d go for it. If you’re not bothered by waiting up to a year, then you might as well wait for the new shiny.
