Legendaries and HoM
So basically, if you never played GW, you shouldn’t be allowed to earn a Legendary?
Why not make it so when you got a Legendary, the skin is unlocked for all of your characters?
Pow. No-one is excluded.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
I think he means that you could buy the skin item (for free) from a vendor as many times as you want like the other HoM skins.
Seems like a lot to ask for coming from the current system.

A-net already stated will be accesseble to all again in the future. Atm it is just a ruin. There is nothing to see or get besieds the stuff you get in Gw1. But if the playes “revieves” and becomes the social Hub it was back in time you could use it to a similar way like it was used in Gw1 as a instance to show of all the weapons, armour, minipets and stuff. To put an NPC in ther how then hands you the skin would not be a big deal.
Considering you could do this with a silly holiday hat in Guild Wars 1, it does not seem like too much to ask.
The basic idea is to create a skin library that is disconnected from item stats.
It sounds fun, but it would actually make legendary weapons even more common which I don’t think is the best idea.

This.
Legendaries are supposed to be rare and impressive, which means they’re supposed to be hard and/or expensive to get and not something you see everywhere. If you just had to unlock the skin and then you could make an infinate number on all your characters, even if it required the same process they currently have, it would make legendaries far more common and therefore less impressive. Which defeats the point of having them.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”

But not the rewards.
HoM rewards are for GW players who filled out their HoM.
Unless you’re talking about when you’ve created it, it becomes unlockable? In which case, I agree with you.

In GW1 HoM is used to show off and save achievements, expensive stuff, like minipets and weapons and armour etc. They will most likely do the same in GW2.
That’s why i thought this would be a good idea.

They wouldn’t become more common because you can wield the weapon on all of your characters, you can only have 1 character logged in at a time on your account.
It would save ArenaNet alot of time and trouble and players will enjoy it and don’t have to farm the same weapons on multiplie characters + they can use it on a low level character, like a legacy.
