Legendaries are pretty much an account achievement when you make one, so why do they soulbind on equip?

You can move them already with the transmutation trick, but wouldn’t it be nicer if once you made one, you could get it on ALL your characters.

So why not add it to the account skin locker that we already have?

It would still be able to be sold at first, the way I see it is after you make it in the forge, it appears as a trade-able one-time use item that adds the skin to your account locker permanently, at which point you can withdraw as many as you like and use on any of your characters.

For anyone that has two of the same legendary at the moment (probably quite a small minority), you could have one of them turned into the tradeable format allowing you to sell it.

Cassius Snowstorm – Engineer
Tycho Snowpaw – Guardian
Gandara – [WvW]

And fine transmutation stones then? Don’t you think of poor them, all the ones that will no longer be “adopted” from the gem store? :C

As a general rule if you have a question first ask yourself this :
Will the make money off it?
If no, you’re dreaming. If yes, sure they’ll consider it.
