I have waited 2 years, to come back and revive the Legendary Question again!

You won’t see legendary armor any time soon, you will see Ascended Armor in 2013 for sure though, yes.

i´ve waited to this day! Now i personaly want answers, and iam VERY sure other want to know to!

My guess is that we will see Legendary Armor :

After HoT release, 2 Months of its balancing witch most likely will be in the beginning of 2016, 1 Quatal. And after the 3rd Living Story. Am i right ?

I think anet never said anything about that it will never come, just that it will be a long time in…

tho i think it will be much more later, but still in or the end of 2016… i hope!

Yes, back items can become damaged or ‘destroyed’ just like body armor.

Unless the legendary back item cannot become damaged due to being legendary. I did not read the details on the legendary back item so that may be an aspect of it.

so.. like legendary weapons are a waste if everyone chooses zerker?
its the skins and the rarity.. (guhahahahaha srry i just cant be serious about it cause legendary eapons are just everywhere.. )

I dont really care about anything “legendary”.Its just a skin,which happens that you can find lot better on BlackLion for lot cheaper.

Yea legendary armor would totaly help this one person complaning since s/he only play elementalist and jump bettwen dungeon, wvw, fractals and open world pve every 5-20 mins he need armor/trinkets weapons with him/her all the time so it takes up 90 out of his 100 slots already.

I think you’re trying to make a point, I don’t get it.

Last thing that I was is legendary armor. Armor are costly to create. 1 armor of each type will be equal to 9 legendary weapon in term of cost (almost). Which mean we will have a very limited amount of choice and everybody will want to have the same stuff. We already have so much people with the same weapons (legendary), do you really want the same with your armor?

I could get behind a legendary item or trinket that put some effect on your armor. Like a legendary amulet that put bright cantha letter on your armor, or some special effect like the legendary armor. That way you still have some mix and matching going on.

Back items share properties with both trinkets and with armor; they aren’t really either. (Or they are actually both, depending on your point of view.)

I don’t think anyone wants the same armor to look like clones or just have 100% all the sets worn across the board. Theres some of us who mix and match armors.

If there was Legandary armor and its better than what I have in stats. I would just transmuate it for my Mesmer to keep her style intact. I can always use the style on a future Character for mix and matching. Transmutation Charges do exist in this game.

I mean who would look like me? Not one person has this mix and that’s just for the style alone, All my gear is Exotics only have 1 Ascended Item at this time.

That’s why if and when it ever comes out at all, it will look terrible, so you have to transmute your skins of choice over it… for money ofc.

I think you’re trying to make a point, I don’t get it.

There’s a person who literally tries to do everything on one character and has a different build for every aspect and decided that he should keep all five spare sets of armor (he has one specifically for jumping puzzles) in his inventory and all four spare sets of trinkets in his inventory. He also has a very short attention span as he jumps from one activity to another quickly. Then fusses at ANet for the lack of inventory space.

He made a post asking for ANet to give us more bag slots.

The point being, if legendary armor was a thing, then the person’s inventory issue would be solved for the most part if he could agree on one set of runes for every build. Because he could switch the stats on the armor instead of having to carry multiple sets.

Don’t start a trend please, legendary armor would require ridiculous farming. Let them focus on weapons.

How about people wanting to get legendary armour, not for the stat switching but for the special-snowflake-ness? After all the legendary PvP backpiece really isn’t going to add anything mechanically.
In a game that is largely focused on skins, legendary’s can be a visual carrot instead of a mechanical one.

yes i would love legendary armor to changes states xD…but..i usually run cele..so stats r no problem for me actually…what is a big problem or me r the runes..since runes make most of the build

I’d rather want to see some more armor skins that are not costumes or other gemstore stuff. I would appreciate legendary trinkets though, which give you a shiny effect on your chosen armor skin than everybody walking around with the same legendary armor skin.
And I would not know what to do with all of my ascended armors, especially since you can now swap stats on all these useless magi- / shaman- and rabid-boxes.

since there is no pvp system or another system which support different builds…its not crap in my inventory…

If the carrot of this game ends up being an entire suit of armor crafted out of the Twilight/Sunrise effect or the Bolt aura effect, yaaaaa, that’s going to be horrible.

No. It just that the game is basically,Zurker or GTFO. It was intended to be a joke, but.i see.it went over most peoples heads……..
