Is this what it sounds like or are we just talking about purple-colored mats that produce mundane items?

Likely obsidian, clovers, and maybe the icy runestones. There may even be more included.

Oh right, those things. Almost got excited.

Well, the page that introduced the new log-in rewards said…

“materials necessary for crafting your legendary weapon (including mystic clovers)”

So clovers at the very least are included, and some undisclosed stuff as well.
