Legendary Dagger
I feel that every Exotic/rare ect dagger in the game is seriously lacking in size and aesthetic appeal, not being funny but compare the Legendary Dagger to the Legendary Great Sword its just well horrible that so much design has gone into making certain weapons look awesome and worth the effort while others just are not… I mean look at WoW (trust me this is the only time i will ever use WoW as an comparison) There Rogue equivalent of our Theif has endgame or rare daggers now the difference between theirs and ours is this: Theirs are generally substantially large and look awesome or have very nice notable graphical effects, are’s are small have no noticeable effects and often hidden within our armor. Similar to the Armor Issue there is a severe design gap in both terms quality and effort between the weapon sets.
Meuh. Large weapons does not make the weapon cool looking. It’s the overall design of the weapon that makes a weapon cool. Size is only sometimes a factor. To be honest, the more unrealistic the weapon looks, the less cool it looks to me. (example – Asura with 7ft long greatsword)
I just went to find an image of the legendary dagger and I agree it’s kind of odd – would only work with certain kinds of looks! However I don’t want a large dagger, and that’s the real problem for me. I want my dagger ele to have weapons that look awesome, but I also want them to be small and discreet, because they’re daggers! It’s going to be very hard for any designers to fulfil both of those criteria at once!
Ok i get what your saying Andrew but have you actually compared the Aesthetic Design of the Legendary great sword to that of the Daggers or any of the other weapons for that fact, if you do you will kind of see where I am coming from i think.
Is there a picture of it with it’s effects working? The only picture I found of it looked like a large cigarette lighter and I’m kinda guessing there should be a blade of fire at the end.

we talking about the legendary dagger Incinerator?

If so – I agree. I just don’t want to see bigger and bigger weapons much like WoW. I absolutely hated the “bigger” armor or what have you as the tiers went. It went from somewhat cool designs to absurd that your character would topple over from it or at least stab themselves multiple times just by moving.
I just kindof hate that mentality of “bigger is better” I guess.
^The issue is that we don’t really know what it looks like as the special effects don’t appear on preview as far as I know.
The image of the skins do not show the particle effects, unique animations or other effects the Legendary weapons might have…
At least that’s what I think…
" I also want them to be small and discreet, because they’re daggers"
Dagger does not mean small and discreet, it simply implies a stabbing weapons. Historically alot of short swords are considered daggers averaging between two to three feet on the blade. So the word dagger has nothing to do with concealment
Yeah, I wouldn’t base too much off the 3D model. Look at Sunrise in there and it looks godawful, but it’s actually gorgeous.
That said, Incinerator isn’t much to my taste conceptually…but most of the flashier weapons aren’t.

Well, it doesn’t mean gigantic either. The line between short swords and daggers is not always clear, but they’re not your typical dagger either.
There is no legendaries in the game I want. Too ugly.
Sunrise looks very impressive so I will wait and see before I commit to making one myself.

Those aren’t daggers, they’re swords.
Yeah… it’s completely underwhelming. Hopefully the devs will take pity on the dagger users and make something better…
