This is my lvl 80 guardian in tutorial xD
I miss the fun I had in gw1 doing LDoA title.
Shes wearing full ascended trinkets/weapons and exotic armor.

I’ve been tempted to do the same through tomes of knowledge, but the tutorial’s so empty and lifeless compared to the Pre-Searing.

They’re definitely still in Defense of Shaemoor in the screenshots. Even if that is still possible, can you get back in to the tutorial?

He would need access to his bank if he has ascended items. However if he bought the 2 week banker golems as needed, one char could buy/craft the times and put the them in the bank for him to pick up, using the golem.

Except for Legendary Ascalon title you didn’t have Tomes and Exp Scrolls to quickly get you to 80. Still, congratz

Yeah that tutorial mission stays as your current story mission. At least I’m pretty sure it does. Been a long time since I did it so I may be remembering it wrong. I did it with one my Asuran’s and basically you just have to go back in to the mission and do it.

Or have the deluxe edition which gives a free golem banker to every new character upon creation.

And having a lvl 80 in the starter instance is not that big of a deal since you can use lvl 20 scroll and tomes to level up in few minutes.

I just checked with a new toon, and I wasn’t able to leave the tutorial. If you try to leave the area, it just teleports you back in. So I think that’s been fixed.

I had like 40 or 50 Bank Access Express from dailies thats how I got all the equipment (deluxe edition free golem to access bank and transfer the Bank Access Express).
+20 lvl scroll works, +1 lvl don’t.

Keep in mind, this is before Tomes of Experience were a thing, but after Scrolls of Experience were.

I got the Necromancer to level 6, then accidentally left Defense of Shaemoor due to a map bug/exploit.

Another possibility is he left the starting instance to go to WvW/PvP, but I think that got patched and you can’t do it anymore.

You gain 2 Experience in the starting zone for each mob killed. However, experience is rounded in the calculation (I forgot if it rounds normally or is always ceilinged).

It takes a grand total of 4,860,359 experience to reach level 80.

At 2 Experience per kill, it will take you 2,430,180 mobs to reach level 80.

If you have enough Experience to reach 3 Experience per kill, it will take you 1620120 mobs to reach level 80.

If you have the maximum possible Experience bonus in the game (bar Achievement Points), you will gain an additional 420 to 430 (based on WvW) bonus experience. That means you’re gaining 5.2x up to 5.3x experience which translates to 10-11 experience per kill.

At that rate, it will take you 486,036 mobs to reach level 80.

It takes roughly 1m18s (78s) to clear a circle around Shaemoor. You will kill roughly 22 Centaurs in this process (done using a Dagger/Dagger Necromancer due to Swiftness, AoE attacks while moving, and fast auto attack speed).

If we round for slowness, you will kill roughly 20 mobs every 1m30s (90s). (20 mobs / 90s = 0.22 mobs/second)

At 2 experience per kill it will take you roughly 540040 seconds or 9000 minutes or 150 hours.

At 3 experience per kill it will take you roughly 360000 seconds or 6000 minutes or 100 hours.

At 10 experience per kill it will take you roughly 108008 seconds or 1800 minutes or 30 hours.

Of course, you would need to have 2 Birthday Boosters, 60 Enchanted Reward Boosts, 30 Improved Experience Boosters, 30 Laureate Experience Boosters, 60 Guild Karma and Experience Banner or 60 Guild Heroes Banners, 2 +5% Kill Exp for 24 Hour Guild Upgrades, 40 Halloween +15% Experience Foods, 60 Potions/Oils, and 30 hours of mind-numbing grinding (yes, this is more grindy than a zerg).

Did I mention you can’t wear an offhand until level 7 and you don’t unlock your first Utility slot (to slot Signet of the Locust for mobility speed) until a higher level (you don’t need Signet of the Locust, because you can use Sigil of Speed to maintain permanent Swiftness unless you just logged in).
