So I am at the point in the game where I am running out of stuff to do, so it’s time for a new goal.

I want to craft a legendary, but not for personal use however since I think all the legendary skins are hideous, and I prefer more down to earth skins that look practical and immersive without all the shine, fluff and rainbow ponies…

I want to sell it.

Are there any Legendaries that I can make a profit on?

Or will I make a higher profit by simply selling the materials for the same amount of time I’d spend making the legendary? As in there are no legendaries to profit off of?

I suspect you’re going to have to look it up yourself.

If you go to wiki and look up each legendary you can see current material costs to craft and the selling price of the legendary. For example:The Bifrost for the price of the Legendary and a site to see the components and their current prices where it says: show base ingredients.

After that, some math.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

Quite a bit offered over 1K profit in the past. I haven’t really checked up on them recently.

Currently, the only one that isn’t profitable (even after taking into account your time, labor, and account-bound materials that might be monetized in some other way)… all legendary weapons can be crafted for a profit. On my current list, the best value is from Frostfang & The Dreamer. Various websites will show different legendaries, depending on how they calculate costs.

Some you can if you do the legendary journey. Good examples are zap, spark and dusk. Or if a pre drops of course.

Biggest problem looking at the TP for price guidance is that the sell price may simply be the price that NOBODY is willing to pay for it. We get samples of the the current state of the TP around once every 5 minutes on the 3rd party sites. Item may show up and be sold between samples so we never know the price above the immediate sell price that players are truly willing to pay for it. That’s why I advocate transaction data (x of y sold for z) as oppose to the state (x bids, high bid, y for sale, lowest ask).

My suggestion….

Make Eternity and sell it. I did. By Making Eternity and selling it, you get to keep 2 legendary GS skins, even though you can only hold 1 at a time AND you get to buy a 3rd from the TP. So 3 Legendary skins from 1 skin sounds like a good deal right?

I thought it was when I ended up with Twilight, Sunrise, Bolt and Infused daggers in one day lol

I mostly play for the new Free-For-All arena in PvP lobby.
….. And Elementalist.

They think all the legendaries are so ~super~ ugly though.

OP if you’re farming most of the materials rather than buying them then you’ll have a great profit, it’ll just take a long time
