There is talk about it, even items that say they’re used for it.
But yet not a single comment on release, or any preview in wardrobe.

I think they said they were going to be adding them later?

It’s not in the game yet. Only the first tier collection is. If they follow the Legendary Backpack design, then it will be 1 collection per Raid Wing. And there are still 2 raid wings to be added. Which means 2-3 months at least before you can have legendary armor.

Do we really have to wait that long for legendary armor?

Yes. I believe Lux Dominatoris’ post is pretty spot on and a better appraisal of the state of legendary armor than mine. I did not know about the missing collection items for tier 1, because I do not do raids, nor do I plan to. Raids are content for the elite only (and a lucky PUG I suppose, if we have to judge based on posts on reddit). A scarce minority in my opinion, regardless. And ANET will realize that sooner or later. They have their tools to measure how many people do a certain part of the game.

You can bet your sweet momma’s behind that it will require a stack of ascended materials. Everything HoT related is a massive timegate. That’s the only way they can keep people from complaining about “content drought” without actually having to produce anything of substance.

Yeah, the collections kinda suck. But what you gonna do? You have the choice of doing it or not.
