with the upcoming release of HoT we have all heard by now how we are getting legendary Armour and back items at first i thought yeah this is good but as i heard more and really thought about it i realized i pretty big downside to it
my biggest concern is that we only have 1 skin for each legendary Armour type i.e light/medium/heavy this to me is not nearly enough coz give it one year and we will all be wearing exactly the same stuff we will all have same leg Armour same leg weapons and same leg back items
isn’t anyone else really put off by this idea ? i mean i cant be the only one to see this massive flaw in Anets plan
and before anyone says, oh but anet will make more later down the line, leme just point out that they been prety much saying the same thing about legendary weapons for near on 3 years now and its taken them that long to get round to doing more.
my hopes that they will do more armour skins any time soon is low

I think it would be cool if the effects still worked once transmuted in some way. e.g. if a set sets you on blue fire in combat, the particle effect would still work when transmuted or something.

This is a pretty good point, would maybe be nice if they had Profession specific (not a kitten) little touches (would at least give some distinction).

I guess it depends on how easy it is to obtain, are we thinking its going to be about 2-3 Legendary Weapons’ worth of effort for the whole set? I can’t imagine it would be as high as 6 (one per piece).

Hmm need time to think.

I would expect it to be as high as 6. I mean we’re talking about the “Ultimate” armor here. Makes sense they’d make it as tough to obtain per piece as weapons, then release another set, then release a “combined” set that you need both to make.

I mean the goal here is to create these kinds of long term progression, and legendaries aren’t extra stats so there’s no telling. Think about GW1 obsidian, or the 250 stack collection items from EOTN

I just don’t think that a glove is equivalent to a weapon – I don’t think Anet do either you can see this even looking at stats and general effect on your character (an Ascended level weapon >>>>> then a full set of Ascended level armour).

i doubt its gona be hard to make a full set of this itl proly be like the cost/effort equivalent of making 2 legendary weapons witch for me is about 2/3 months worth of pve
any difficulty in obtaining it will simply be RNG i dare say or time gated stuff like the raid instance perhaps or ascended mats with time gates
