Edit: Don’t bother with this OP, I made a mistake and didn’t get the facts clearly before I went to “attack”.

I rarely whine and even worse I usually don’t whine before the update is out.

But no matter what the reasons are, increasing the stats of legendary will mean that they will be even stronger and more “needed”, isn’t it enough that these ugly weapons get’s a re-trait function? I am heavely against gear grind, and if you will keep boosting Legendary stats how will we know that there will be no other tier Between Ascended and Legendary?

Anyway I hope that if I transmigate Legendary stats to another skin will let me have the re-trait ability and vice versa becouse I find Legendary skin ugly.

…I have nothing to say. Did you not read the update notes at all, they are just making Legendary Weapons the same stats as the Ascended weapons that are being released at the same time. Which means no difference woooow.

Legendary are getting a stat boost to ascended because ascended weapons are coming out.

A loose quote from Anet, “Legendaries will always be on par with the highest level gear.”

Legendary weapon stats will be boosted to ascended weapon levels.

Holy kitten there’s a reason they are legendary.

It would be even worse if they DIDN’T get the boost, since that would mean that Legendaries would be “useless” due to them not being the best in-game.

I wish the legendaries didn’t spoil the theme of characters. Would a battle-hardened, iron-clad Charr Warrior use longbow that leaves patches of grass on his footsteps? Bow that looks like something faeries would use?

the moment the idea of ascended equipment was voiced, it was made clear that legendaries would always be adjusted to top tier “normal” weapons. That is in fact anti-grind.

As I said, I usually don’t complain before I have seen the update but how I interpretate the text is that Legendaries will be boosted to leave room for Ascended stats, that means, ascended will be as good or almost as good as Legendaries is now and the Legendaries will be boosted to be better than before.

Ex: (Now: Exotic = 3, Legendary = 4) (Next update: Exotic = 3, Ascended = 4, Legendary = 5) I would be pretty okay if they did something like this (IMO: Exotic = 3, Ascended = 3½, Legendary = 4)

Uhm what? Legendaries have exotic-stats after the patch they will have ascended stats

Now: Exotic = 3, Legendary = 3
After patch: Exotic = 3, Ascended = 4, Legendary = 4

Legendaries will always be an option. Want the highest stats now? Get an exotic. Want the highest stats after patch? Get an ascended. Want a unique special skin? Get a legendary.

legendaries will have the SAME stats as ascendant weapons. The only difference will be that you can freely change the stats, no need to transmute legendaries with the stats you like. Even if you can change the stats a legendary CAN NOT have better stats then a ascendant weapon. If you dont play with legendaries the worst case is that you have to get 1 weapon for each of your build, say cond and power build.

I wouldn’t go for a legendary but I’d go for legendary armor if they made one, mainly because of the ability to change the stats when out of combat

But I just wanna say I am sorry and I feel ashamed since I honestly thought that Legendary have better stats than Exotic as it is now but after reading some comment’s to this thread I checked that up on Wiki and… Well… Sorry… I am terrebly sorry

This change that will happen is good and ok, it is actually in a way exactly as I would wan’t it to be O_o
