Long story short. I have legendary howler on a Necro. I consider the warhorn not the best option on a necro but I do consider it a better option on my warrior. Right now I could use transmute to equip it to my warrior (without losing legendary status). But after the update I may not be able to do so. With no clear understanding of Anets intentions on what I consider to be one of the most major investments in the game, I kind of don’t know what to do and I don’t have long to decide.

I say keep it on the Necro. It will fit them better thematically while giving you a better weapon. Necro Warhorn is viable with all mainhands and provides some useful utility, while Warrior Warhorn (as powerful as it might be) tends to shaft you into a select few builds.

Also, transmuting it would no doubt remove the unique stat-changing mechanic of legendary weapons as well as probably remove the (perhaps unlikely) chance of gaining an account-bound legendary weapon should they ever change legendaries from soulbound to account bound on equip.

Keep it on necro if you play it more often.

You may have a chance to move it later anyway.

I’m pretty much dropping my Necro for the unforseen future. I run a guild build for a warrior that includes a warhorn. Eight months ago, when I made the legendary, I used to main a Necro but its not a required class for me now. I guess I’ll wait and see what happens. I know a few people have legendaries that are already transmuted so fingers crossed things work out. Thanks for the input.

Then transmutate it now for heavens’ sake. What sort of rhetorical question is this?
You’re not seriously going to stick a legendary weapon on a character you don’t use if you still have the option to ‘fix’ it?
