Save up money, and buy it with a buy order. Prices on them go up and down last month or two. I bought a spark for 550g with a buy order over a month ago and it has gone up and down since then but around that neighborhood.

If you’re short on money I wouldn’t go messing with the mystic forge. I mean yeah you can get lucky early on but you’re more likely to kitten yourself off when you spend 200g or something in the MF and don’t get anything.

Ignore the sell prices on precursors. Buy orders get filled (several a day, if you watch gw2spidy)

I second whats been said.
Buy orders reflect the real price. I farmed gold for my precursor before starting gifts so I was never in a hurry for my buy order to fill, so I simply put a fair price and waited a few days.
Regardless, you need to farm 500-600g for gifts anyways, so you don’t have to choose wether you want to give all your money to zommoros or put them on a buy order until you have that kind of money banked.

Don’t bother with the mystic forge. More often than not you lose.

Only gamble on the forge when you can afford to.

I’m one of the lucky ones. The precursor for the legendary I’m working for is pretty cheap.

Get the fused weapon skin, I consider that my Legendary. And over all, it might be cheaper as well :P
