Mostly Conditions, but not duration. Have 1600 condition damage. Don’t really care how long my stuff lasts since its usually ripped off.

Then quit complaining on how -cond food is OP when you have an option to counter it and don’t use it.

Be careful what you wish for, Anet might just give it to you “HoT”

Hmm, this seems odd to me. Surely you could have sacrificed 180 of that condition damage for 10% duration and ate pizza. That basically counters much of the runes + soup for non-snare conditions. With the upcoming change to Necros adding a special condition to the mix, you might definitely want it to last and not be countered so easily.

Then there are possibly sigils you can pop on if you specifically want chill. Just pop on a scepter or staff with a Sigil of Chilling or Hobbling when you need to keep people off you.

Yeah I’m still curious what build you run. Even as an ele, I want at least 30% condition duration when running staff because I want my to be able to kite. I’ll usually have 10 points in fire just for that (and because Zephyrs boon isn’t very useful for staff). Add in a Giver’s staff and 2 runes of Lyssa (sacrificing 10% boon for 10% condition) and with pizza that’s 70% condition which I find works just fine against most foes.

A build focused around kiting, let alone condition damage, should have some kind of duration bonus to work with.

in wvw it doesnt matter if you had 5000% condi duration in zergs theres just too many cleanses being blasted simultaneosly and even if i particularly had multiple conditions on me i heal ridiculous ammounts of hp .

i cant help but think you’re running rampager gear and are getting stomped by berserkers or invader or bunkers so far it seems like you have the habit of relying 100% on your conditions and lack of intelligence of opponent

enemy has lemongrass Use Rare veggie pizza wich has the opposite effect +40% condition duration theres no real excuse for nerfing lemongrass unless they removed rare veggie pizza.

I agree that both Pizza and Lemongrass are equally powerful/overbudget options, from a stat allotment, they trump pretty much anything else. Getting +40% or -40% condition duraition any other way is very hard to do, compared to say getting 10% critical damage, and 100 precision.

As to the problem of zerg vs zerg… that really has more to do with the interaction of the downed state and conditions. In large scale fights, people go down and pop back up quite often. A down, is a free full condition clear, and 1 second of immunity. In that environment, conditions will always be less effective.

There is a reason so many guilds that run in WvW run bunker PVT with removals (eles and guardians) combined with zerker classes, that all have AOE. But this is a design problem around WvW, not a problem with conditions.
