Less rares and ecto?
I thought it was just me. I notice less ectos in my salvaging. also noticed less rares in my event farming and chest farming. Possible ninja nerf?
Luck change I’m afraid. My fractal rate at rares is and continues to be almost nil and my ecto salvage rate is about as random as it ever was.
I find it hilarious when people say “I used to get 7 rares per Fractal but now only 3” and they assume 7 is normal for a fractal.
I used to get 3 per fractal and the past couple of weeks ive got 5 or more per run most runs so does that mean theyve buffed my drop rate? Its just percentages playing themselves out.

I would assume 7 is normal because it’s what I’ve always been getting.
i get about 1 every chest and end with around 10 each frac, is that normal? heck no
i’m just lucky with this RNG

The same thought occurred to me last week but my luck has turned for the better when I salvaged 20 rares and managed to salvage an average of 2 ectos per item. RNG=RNG!
If ectos did really suddenly get rare, their prices should increase. Less supply = increased price
But you don’t see that.
So no, I’d say nothing has changed.
For the past few days now I’ve gotten a significant decrease in the amount of rares and ectos being salvaged from rares. Has anyone else come across this?
In a typical fractals run I’d normally come out with 5-7 rares or so and about 10 ecto from those rares. Now I’m lucky to even come out with 3 rares and maybe 2 ecto from those. Has my luck suddenly changed or what is going on?
Might have been hit with the DR bug the rest of us in the open world have been having to deal with for the past 3 months now. I get nothing unless it’s a fluke in the open world (such as killing a non-aggressive mob just to test out a build and suddenly I have a rare when I haven’t seen one in 5 days straight even from dragon events), so feel glad you are getting any, there’s about 1500 of us so far that haven’t been getting anything for a very long time and it’s not going to get better until they take this problem seriously or remove DR entirely from the game until they can be sure it works properly.

I must have salvaged about 6 rares yesterday and was very suprised I got ectos from EVERY single one of them. I think as said above it’s just luck playing out.
Since when did this business of being a hero become being a business?
This is just my observations,
launch to nov 15th alot of yellows and a good rate of return on ectos for salvaging when i say alot of yellows doing plinx anywhere from 1 – 10 an hour this is also pre DR system
after nov 15th massive reduction in yellow to the point it was depressing trying to farm
a patch about a month ago yellows seemed to drop in the order of between pre nov 15th and after so about 50 % more drops for time invested BUT the ecto salvage rate imo has been lowered as without any proof its only words but it certainly seems that way. and a good way to see this is ecto prices , sure they are affected by bots but also the yellow drop rate and the rate of return of ectos, the prices sure havnt returned to 15s before nov 15th
