Interesting thing about the wiki is that it also tells you other ways to acquire them. Best of luck.

2 hours of silverwastes chest farming will give you enough T7 mats to make an entire set.

Get the Chest of Loyalty from the end of the Daily Login, pick Ascended Materials . . . it had a Lesser Vision Crystal in there the two times I opened it.

my main holdback was getting empyrial shards. after about a couple SW farms i now have 15 stars worth, ankitten ow sitting on about 70 dragonite ingots and 40 bloodstone bricks.

I figure if i keep it up eventually i’ll have 250 of each by the time HoT comes out, for lulz.

As stated before, just run the chest farm in SW and you’ll be swimming in T7 mats soon.

Not really, it gives more than one item. The first time it was Damask, the second it was Elonian Leather.

The only way choosing the Ascended Mats is more lucrative than the bag of 20 laurels is if you really have trouble getting T7 mats (which you shouldn’t after SW was launched) or if you feel lucky enough to score two bolts of damask every time.

It’s not about lucrative for me. It’s about “I have enough Laurels, and the other stuff doesn’t interest me right now”.

There is no such thing as “enough Laurels” as long as you can turn each Laurel into ~1 gold. That’s ~20 gold right there, which you can use to buy the contents of the other selections and still have money left over (unless of course you’d be lucky to get 2 damask, which probably happens about 1 time out of every 8 or so).

Sorry to break your illusion of meaningful choice, but not selecting the laurel bag from the Chest of Loyalty is just throwing gold out of the window.

PvP glorious track gives you plenty of dragonite/empyreal/bloodstone – providing you enjoy unranked enough to “farm” it.

You should read my other posts, you’ll get a better idea of what I’m about. I don’t care if it’s an “illusion of meaningful choice”. The game’s full of such illusions, from what you want to choose when you create your character to what order you choose, to what dyes you want to use.

I don’t care about Gold – there is nothing I want bad enough which is out of reach. I’m not interested in Legendaries, so Precursors are off the slate. The permanent contracts? The only one of potential value to me is the permanent bank contract so I can stick it in my bag and potentially just carry less around.

By extension, things which earn me Gold aren’t as interesting because they earn me Gold as they are for what I can do with them. Crafting components are interesting because I can make items with them, hang onto them until I need them. Karma lets me drop Temple Armor at a whim on a fresh Level 80, but that’s about it. Dungeons only interest me when I run them within the guild and with less intent to speed-clear it than to just make it to the end alive.

Further by extension, I do things because I want to do them. Which includes even doing more than logging in, saying hello and adjusting a few items around my character inventories. I don’t want to hit a world boss? Skip it. Don’t feel like dealing with Claw of Jormag? I’ll just find something else to do – the game’s full of that.

About the only thing I fully regret is not getting in on a good Triple Trouble run when it was a hot thing to do. Never got to experience that.

The Rare Regalia Collection gives 1 lesser vision crystal.
So that’s -1 to craft, although you’ll need to craft (or buy) other things for the collection.

You should probably check the definition of “lucrative”. It’s not really subjective when (almost) all the choices can be measured with a common currency, like gold.

The fact that you have almost everything in the game does not mean that the bag of laurels is still the most lucrative choice from the chest of loyalty. Not the most “interesting” or “exciting” perhaps, but certainly the most lucrative.

And, meaning little disrespect, you should read my post again . . . I don’t have everything in the game, or almost everything. Just that I can’t buy with Gold what I want, nor want anything which would require me to go fetch tons of Gold with Laurels.

It’s really not about the money.
