It would be nice if there was an option to make it so skills didn’t show their keybind.

Because he thinks he has some super secret way of arranging his keys so that it makes him a superior player and he doesn’t want the plebs knowing how he became so awesome.

maybe he a dire condi streamer that found a way to bind all his skills to the ¹ key.

I have most of keys binded to game bad and some keys don’t show like f skills are binded to joistick and game shows … to all f skills

Unless you have your game menu open all the time and/or are live streaming showing your hands how is it possible for people to know what you have bound to what? If you have macros your problems go deeper since Anet does not need to see your keybinds to spot macros if they are suspicious.

Not sure how some of the responses got so deep.

I simply want to hide my keybinds. I don’t like seeing them. I know them by heart. It’s a simple request. Not that deep at all.

Or set a keybind to toggle the UI off so you don’t have to hit 3 keys instead of 1. I use F11 for my toggle as it is near Print Screen, makes screenshots sans UI fast and easy.

I think people were wondering why you didn’t want 1 – 5 showing in your 1 through 5 skill icons, for example, or r t y u i if you use those instead since the UI will display the chosen keybind in the skill slot. Your sig does say you’re a PvP streamer, hence speculation on you not wanting viewers to know your keyboard setup.

No, I don’t want to hide the UI.

All I’m suggesting is a toggle for keybinds to show or not.

My keybinds are displayed but it is just the default. I don’t actually use those keybinds though. GW2 allows you to have two sets of keybinds. The ones I actually use is the second set.

Oh? So, if you have the first set blank, does it leave it the keybind blank?

Try moving your primary keybinds to secondary ones. It should change them to “…”.

This solution will work for now. Thanks guy Now, if only I could hide the keybind altogether xD

I’ve seen requests like this in previous games, and it usually is a person who streams or uploads PvP videos but doesn’t want everyone to see that they have everything macro’d on 1 to 3 keys.

I know some people like having this option in other games because the key bindings are quite prominent. In at least one game I’ve played they were almost the same size as the skill icons and sat above them – so removing them significantly reduced the amount of ‘clutter’ on the screen.

I also know some people would love to remove as much of the UI as possible while keeping the bits they need to play (so hiding the whole lot isn’t an option). But since the symbols are inside the skill icons and very small I can’t see what hiding them would achieve…other than keeping your binding secret when streaming.
