Thesis statement: I desire a game based on efficient time saving systems that get you into the action faster.

Devoted to one guild, cares about server community, tries to help new players, fair about loot, punctual and prepared to raid. These were the things I used to define my identity in mmo’s past.

These were good things and they helped me achieve status and achievements in a competitive environment I never dreamed possible. However, it is a new world and I am a grown man, father, veteran, husband.

I need a new game. I need to come home, log in, and be in the freaking action. The guild I am in? As many as will have me, how do I rep? I rep with who I play with! I log in and this guild has 20 people on and that one 10 guess which one I hit rep with first.

You don’t threaten modern players to rep or be removed, you give them a reason to rep, being in a guild should be an honor but it’s not a privilege. Guilds with rep reqs you guys are in the past.

The past is why there is no dungeon q because the industry is afraid that it will hurt communities. No kittens effect communities, kittened off players effect communities and me not wasting my time wandering your pvpless open world until I get sick of the game and stop logging in is going to hurt your community.

I know this is a rant, and you had the same force pushing you to read it, that I have making me play this game. If however you feel passionate about this in the same way now is the time for us to speak out. Now is the time for change.

A change that builds a game based on efficient time saving systems that get you into the action faster. I believe based on the financial model of this game that Anet has the drive to make this a reality based on their financial and business model for the game.

The same greed that ruins other mmos just isn’t there. There is no pay 2 win here. Ty you for your time. (still less wasted than any escort quest ever)

Ok, ive read your post 3 times and im still not sure what you are campaigning for here?

Something about guild repping and hinting at pvp in open world?

I don’t have any idea either what you are talking about. Try rewriting and editing your post so it has a clear point.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

Best I can determine is there is upset about being forced to rep a guild even if none of them are wanting to play with dragonfell at the time.

The other part I’m not sure. Seems like a request to add a “take me to the action” instant-action type button. And that escort events should be removed.

My attempt to figure out the OP’s post:

In the past he played MMO’s heavily and was highly competitive. Likely hardcore player. Then real life happened and now married with kids.

As such he doesn’t have much time. He doesn’t want to spend his time online looking for where the action is. He wants to be there.

He also thinks 100% rep guilds are stuck in the past and should allow players to rep whenever they want.

He claims that dungeons are ignored because dungeons hurt communities.

He doesn’t like exploring the world. I don’t know if he hates or likes open world PvP.

He wants things added to the game to quickly take players to where the action is.

He likes that the game is not pay to win.

I certainly wouldn’t want to be a member of a community with no kittens either.

I’m sure no one is forcing you to rep but honestly, if you don’t rep, why should a guild leader have you in their guild. Dungeon spots go to regular guild members over those who only rep once in a while. Guild leaders have to make choices for their guild. Those choices impact the entire guild. To rep or not to rep is your decision, to have you in the guild is the guild leader’s decision.

Uhm, what?

And there is an entire zone that is open-world pvp. And, even better, you can actually just press a button and it will take you there, to where the action is.

In fact, I’m not sure how you can’t find the action in this game. There are world bosses that cycle throughout the day, have you not seen the giant train of people that goes from one to the other yet? Check dragontimers dot com to find when the next one starts on your realm. Or just go to LA and ask in map chat. And there’s always some sort of event or stuff running in a zone that tends to attract people.

Really didn’t understand your post at all, for the most part.

Under the current OP posting it is impossible to reply with any modicum of thought…presuming your a mature adult, though it’s somewhat difficult to tell from your post about being a vet, father, husband, etc., etc., learn to compromise…wait, better still, it is imperative of everyone that they continue to do the same things that made them happy before any changes in lifestyle, otherwise you will become miserable and resent those others in your life…this has been proven many times by numerous studies.
